Onkyo TX-SR500 Receiver display

Fellow owners of broken electronics;

    I have an Onkyo TX-SR500 that works fine but the display went out a couple weeks ago.  I called an Onkyo repair place and I can't see giving them $50 just to look at it and tell me they need to replace the display.  It's no problem for me to pop it open and replace but I can't find anywhere to purchase the parts. Are there any places that I can just order the display and replace it myself?

 thanks for any help you can provide.

How to unprogram cd player. EE displays on screen.

I think I'm stuck in a program on my Koss home stereo 3-c.d. player that was customized by the previous owner.  It only plays the cds in slots 1 and 2, (for example).  When I try to play the one in #3, the screen says "EE" and won't play it.  It's not the cd, because they play fine in the other slots.  The problem seems to start when I hit "random". (?)  Koss Electronics no longer exists, so I can't get a manual.  Can anybody out there help?

Too good to be true? Boston Acoustics speakers for $30

I'm in the market for some B speakers for my kitchen (so I can go to the fridge and not miss the action) and on a budget. I hear Boston Acoustics is supposed to be decent but these Boston Acoustics MR80SSII are marked down to $30ea.

Are they a great deal, or utter garbage? I've done some Googling but haven't found a wit of info.

Your help is appreciated!

Cheers,

Dennis
