no sound rear speakers

Hi ill try and explain this a wee  bit better, i have a hitachi plasma 42pd8700u, with ministry of sound 5.1home theatre system.the system has 2.1 and 5.1 suround sound 3 sets of audio cable 1set to dvd the other to the plasma tv components audio input the tv also has audio and video inputs and sub woofer out. i have tried all audi cables from woofer to plasma audio  inputs. The trouble is i only get sound from front speakers and not the back.

We just bought a Pioneer SimpleSolution Home Theater System.  The Model Number is HTV-C1.  Got it from a pawnshop, but they didn't have the user's guide.  Am confused about some of the RCA jacks--two in particular that just say "Through" and "Out".  Anybody know what I should plug in to those?

How to power a home made hometheater sub.

I have built a sub/box built and ready to add to my home theatre but I am
running into a problem. I don’t know how to power it? I am looking to pick up a
2 channel power amp and bridging it to power my sub. Something like an Adcom
GFA-555 as they are very reasonable on eBay. My problem is I need to find a low
pass crossover for the system with gain (to control the sub volume). Are there
any receivers/sound processors/crossovers out there that can do all this for
me? I have found many for car audio but that means I have to run a 12v power

Samsung HT - WP38 Repairs

I have a Samsung HT - WP38 home theater system with wireless speakers, and when I turn it on, the display posts "protection" and immediately shuts off in 5 seconds.   Any ideas on how this could be fixed before I throw it in the trash.  It's not under warranty, and I don' t think it's worth having someone repair it for me.   AC voltage is fine.  While it was under warranty, the disc carousel had to be replaced.       The DVD player crashes at the slightest scratch.   This unit is reall

Emerson AV400 Speaker Problem

Well, I have had the Emerson AV400 Home Theater for about a year now, last Christmas, and for some reason my speakers are messing up during movies.  Out of no where, the speakers will stop and start a popping noise for about 20-90 seconds.  Gets very annoying after it happens on and off throughout a full length movie. . .  So can someone please help me? Thank you
