Receivers and Audio Components

I have a Sony STR-DG800 AV Receiver and a Mirage BFS-100 powered subwoofer. I am trying to connect the subwoofer’s low-level input jacks to the pre out output jack of the receiver to supply a low signal to the subwoofer. I can’t get an output out of these jacks to the subwoofer. I have tested the subwoofer and it is fine. I think it may be a setup issue with the receiver, but I have played with the setup menus and have not been successful. Can someone help me?

  Has any one any clues as to why the CDs on my player will not play. It is a 5 disc changer the draw of which goes in and out as normal and the disc spins but no sound is forthcoming. It attempts for about 30secs and thens moves on to the next CD where the same happens again.

I have had this Pioneer VSX 402 receiver and Bose speakers for years.  Recently the left side has sounded like the speaker was blown.  I swapped speakers and found that it was not the speakers but the receiver.  I even tried other speakers same result.  I hooked the speakers up to B outputs and sames result.

 I have vacuumed the dust out of the receiver hoping this would help.  I'm stuck.  Any suggestions??
