Video Playback / Recording Devices

Help, I need the exact way to hook up my Cinevision RV4000 to my Sony Receiver via either S-Video, or Component cables.  When I try to record it just says no signal input. I have tried every config known to man.  I have a Tivo R10-250 with both lines connected,  a Sylvania tv with only one S-Video and component plus RCA connections.

This Freeview vcr will not grab channels 803 and 804, the two new 5 chans. My Sony box and the Sony Fview dvd recorder both have captured them. I did a scan on the woo this morning when the signal was bang up but it just ignored them. Is there any way to get the woo to manually tune as per the Sony's? While I'm here, how come the EPG is free with the two Sony's but they want me to pay for it on this machine?

I have this problem with my home theater system, when I set it to play a dvd the main menu and everything else is black and white and the screen keeps jumping up and down.. or maybe its just going down and comming from the top again...I dont know what to do I have read the manual and it does not help.

I know for sure that I have connected everything correctly.

I have another dvd player and everytime I set it to PAL mode it does the same thing, but works fine with NTSC.. I cant seem to find an option that switches the modes either.
