vcr screen says pl when first plug it in, then just goes to -:-- (where the time would be) but i cant do anything, power button does not do anything, with remote or button. This happened after something was set on remote, assuming it had pushed some buttons but ??????

Hi can any one help me my sony DVD Recorder rdr-gx120 will only display and record black and white it has worked ok for about a year i have checked the cables  and re set outputs to  s video on line one but no joy the menu is in colour (yellow)

Having finally set this up using an HDMI jack.....it is fine except when showing dark scenes it pixelates............help..........think that is the right word for it........

Child "SAFE" on but lost remote !!! please help!!

My Philips DVP721VR is child locked and we have lost the remote. It's sitting there and none of the buttons work. I've unplugged it for more than 24hrs but problem is still there. Any suggestions would be grateful many thanks. Omi.

Problem with Yamada DVD player

Hi all,

I'm having a problem with my Yamada DVD player, and that is that the disc isn't spinning, the hat is seated correctly, and there is no dust or anything else inside.

 

Any ideas?!

Pioneer HTD520

I have a Pioneer HTD520.  It is hooked up to a Panasonic VCR and a Durabrand 19" TV set.  I have checked my connections, but can't play the video portion of a DVD, just the audio comes up.  All I get, even when putting my TV on video is a blue screen.  Everything else works perfectly. Can anyone help me figure this out?
