Sony SXLV-X827AS VCR speed problem

I have tape speed set on this VCR to SP, but when I play anything, it wants to go to LP and then has difficulty playing tapes without distortion and poor sound, probably because it’s incorrectly going into LP speed.  Then it stops and goes into error code 3L 22 AA.

Recording TV whilst watching Sattelite TV

This may be me just being incredibly thick but I can not figure this out.

I have a sony dvd rdr-gx120 and I have Sky TV (Satellite digital TV) hooked up to the DVD recorder and my ariel for normal TV also into my DVD recorder.

I can record both Sky and normal television fine. I can also record Sky and watch normal (analogue) television by simply pressing the AV button.

VCR recording fault

 I have recently aquired a Sony SLV-SE8UX.  Yesterday I tried to set Up and everything seemed to be Ok, last night I recorded a movie and when I attempted to play it ti afternoon it runs for about 10 seconds then the screen goes blue, stopping and re-starting repeats this problem. The tape however plays well on an alterative machine.

  •  I know I must have done something wrong in the set up, BUT being almost gadget illiterate I can not find out what I have done wrong,

    SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME.

Recording TV programs

Hello,

I have several TV programs recorded on my DVR and am interested in recording them from the DVR to DVD using a recorder. Is there a way to do this or do I need to capture the TV programs and then record them to DVD with a DVD recorder?

movies are all shown in black and white no color, we tried changing the setup but nothing is working. I think it needs to be on "NTSC" but do not how to get it there, we appreciate some help. thanks anna

 

Sony DVD/VCR Combo RDRvx530

 Hello,

I just bought a Sony DVD/VCR RDRvx530 and I cannot get the set up menue to show up on tv screen.  I have followed all the install instructions but it still will not come through.  I have tried to play video and dvd but nothing comes through.  I have a satallite-dishnetwork new and an old RCA tv.  I have hooked everything up the way the instructions tell me to but I can't get the menu for dvd/vcr to show up.  Everything else works fine.
