Video Playback / Recording Devices

A friend's wife accidentally switched to PAL on the KOSS menu. Manual indicates cannot switch back to NTSC because OS is unreadable. Is there a way to switch back, or is my only option to find someone with a PAL TV set and then switch back?

I have a Sony SVR-S500 Hard Disk recorder and the programme guide is not downloading overnight.

I have Channel "4TVInteractive" in my channel line-up - number 300 and leave the hard drive on standby at night.

It has worked in the past but now we get nothing.

Any ideas?

i just got my sony dvd recorder fixed (rdrgx315) but the said i'm not suppost to use 16x DVD's which i guess it says in the manuel .  The problem is they dont sell 8x or lower (which is what i need).  Why will useing a faster dvd burn speed make it go bad??? what happends????
