Hi can any one help me my sony DVD Recorder rdr-gx120 will only display and record black and white it has worked ok for about a year i have checked the cables and re set outputs to s video on line one but no joy the menu is in colour (yellow)

Did you hook this set up to a differant TV set, differant from the one you first got this unit? Before condemming the unit, make sure the unit is not in progressive scan, unless of course the TV set is compatable with those types of signals. There should be a progressive scan button on the remote. Look in the instruction book for info on that if your not sure. Good Luck, and let us know how you made out.
