Video Playback / Recording Devices

Last night we watched a rented dvd.  Today no picture.  Our dvd is hooked directly to tv - the dvd is running but no picture on tv.  Originally thought dvd was broke - but husband hooked up vcr - same thing happens, vcr is running but no picture on tv.  Do we need new cables or is our tv not responding to these video devices??

Hi everyone, I need help!!

I got the LGDN191H DVD Player for my birthday, I assume from Best Buy, and I;m having little problems with it. I have all my movies burned on the same disks, and all of them are Xvid ext. files, and although it should be able to play them for some reason I'm getting the "disc error" message. Customer service sucks, so please if anyone could help on this I would really appreciate it.

Could anybody help me with my panasonic dvd recorder.I switch it on and after about 5 mins it turns itself off.Would it be worth fixing or would i be better of buying a new one.Many thanks
