Hello, I've been reading up on replacing the IC's, I did it myself on a mitsubishi vs 60707, but the problem persists. My question is this: in order to check the fuses, and/or resistors, do I have to remove them from the board?

I had success replacing mine on my mitsubisihi but you might also want to check your pico fuses, there should be a sheet stuck on the inside of your tv on the left side or right (mine was on the left) and check them with a ohm meter. I had 2 fuses blown and after I replaced them and my IC's my tv came back to life.

Great, I'll make sure to check them. Thanks for the info.
did the caps a while ago on the dm board. get wavyness for the first 30 seconds of start up some times...if that thinking of replacing the stk's. I know where they are at and how to do them. but i read some were there was a trick to adjusting convergance after replacement. could you send me any supporting documentation regarding replacing the stk in a mitsu 55613
I have a Mitsubishi WS-65315 65" R.P. TV manufactured in 2004. It will not come on. However I did read about the service mode buttons to press on front panel and it returned a code of 2-2 (Short Protect circuit.) and from what I've read here I figured it was the Convergence ICs. So I ordered to correct Sayno STK394-250 replacement ICs and installed them. I've also checked for swollen caps as well as the fuses indicated by the service manual.pdf file at locations on the PWR-PCB.
I am still getting the same result and same trouble code flashes. Any clues as to how I should proceed next?
(I do plan to remove the PCBs and re-check my solder joints again using a jewelers loupe and check other solder joints under heavy components.)
I have the WS55513 Mistubishi TV with the green blinking light. My dad is an electrician and could probably replace the capacitors adn IC chip. Could you please me a copy of the schematics and the repair manual for this tv. I would be grateful. Thank you my email address is [email protected]
I have a Mitsubishi VS-60705 that is displaying a code 24. Upon inspection of the main board and the vertical output circuitry, I noticed that resistor R451 has a lead missing, one end is not connected to the board anymore. Could someone please give me specs on this resistor so that I can pick one up and replace it in the board. I figure that should be the fix and if not then I'll work to the convergence IC. Thankyou very much! We just had the TV given to us to use for the super bowl and
i have a mitsubishi M# wt-a42 i turn it on it turns off in about a solid two seconds is this the convergence ic? and if so where to order one i have the tv as my bedroom tv, it is screen facing wall disassembled on floor, have shelf slid out so any help would be loved thanks
Larry,
I did the caps a while ago on the dm board (I used exact specd replacement caps). I get wavyness for the first 30 seconds of start up some times...if that thinking of replacing the stk's (i already fixed the cold solder joints which worked for a while) . I know where they are at and how to do them. but i read some were there was a trick to adjusting convergence after replacement. could you send me any supporting documentation regarding replacing the stk in a mitsu 55613
I went ahead and ordered the stk...do you know the amperage of the picos in the set and how many...if im in there tooling around I might as well replace those while im at it.
I see boards cheap on EBAY and whatnot but I just cant find the one i need... even 100 bucks is cheaper than a new tv... 03311801 i believe is the part number
Help-- please! Got a Mitsubishi WT-46809 that powers on-off, blink code 2-2. I had replaced the convergence ICs 18 months ago, and all was good til this week.
I rfound picos F9A04 and 05 blown internally. I put in a new set of STKs, now the - 24V rail holds, but the + 24 v rail is open again (F9A04). Of course, I'm reading these really fast during the 2-3 second on-off period before the protect circuit kicks in.
I rechecked/resoldered the STK pins; nothing else really obvious in the area.
I'd appreciate it if anyone could share their PDF service manual for the WT-46809 (I beleieve it's the 18 chassis). Maybe with the schematic I can chase the + 24v rail and its feeds and find the shorting culprit. Heck, maybe the feed transformer has given up the ghost-- don't know.
Does anyone know the part number for the main board in the MITSUBISHI VS-60705?(the board with the convergence circuitry on it) Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Trying desperately to find the info.

That board is no longer available BUT is repairable through PTScorp.com, this would be your only option unless you find someone with the same model TV set who is willing to part out the set. Good Luck
Hey Larry, I have a Mitsubishi model # VS-55609 big screen, After reading everyone elses problems I believe I am having a convergence problem. In the advance menu I can align the red and green cross but the blue cross will not come up. The screen shows a picture good enough to still watch but all the words have a blue shadow effect. The top and bottom of the screen are starting to curve a little. Does this indeed sound like a convergence problem? I think I am going to need a manual as well any suggestions? Thanks for any help Todd [email protected]
I have a problem with my Mitsubishi VS-45609 TV.
It shows double of everything with the color all out of Wack?
Is this a Convergance IC problem and what would be the fix?
Thanks
Kevin
Even if you got the parts, unless you have the experience & equipment setting and up a TV, it will do you no good. IT is not "plug and play.
Do you have a test pattern generator ???
Do you know how to set: Raster, tracking levels, Focus, Centering rings, Fine tune convergence, White balance, Dioptics ?
Also what proper order to do them in ???
Even a service manual will not tell you all you need.
Oh and lets not forget their is over 30,000 volts stored in a TV for up to a year. Do you know what not to touch ???
You get ONE attempt to it correct.
Note: What you read on the Internet is only a guess. You guess at you own expense and risk.
A dealer assumes that risk for you and provides a warranty.
HAVE A WS-55809 WITH GREEN AND RED AND BLUE LINES AND IT BOWES OFF AND ON JUST STARTED TO DO THIS HOW CAN I FIX THIS PROBLEM AND WERE CAN I GET THE PARTS
i have a mitsibishi 55 inch ws 55859 and the screens stats to jump when the tv is warmed up its never consistant and it alwalys sporadic it looks like the screen buckles in and all three colors con be made out (green, blue, red) i talked to a tv tech on another site and he said try replacing the hv block. i don't know if i trust this or not
A very nice site you have here, very helpful to us who like to DIYS.
I have a Mitsubishi WS-55413 and the convergence went south on it.
If you could please send me the service manual for it I would forever be in your debt.
P.S. Keep up the great work.
Larry, I have a mitsubishi WS-65809 that won't turn on. I push the power button and the green light comes on and it sound like the set is powering up then after 2-3 seconds the set shuts down and the green power light flicks off. I've checked the F9A04 and F9A05 fuses and they seem to be fine since my volt meter measures 0 ohms across these two fuses. Since these fuses seem to be functioning properly that leads me to believe that the convergence IC's aren't the culprit either since if they fail they would cause the F9A04 and F9A05 fuses to blow. However, i do notice that the feedback resistors R8C05 and R8C13 are a darker blue than all the other feedback resistors, one of them also appears to be a little burnt and there seemed to be some corrosion on the PCB underneath these two feedback resistors. Do you think these two resistors are my problem and if so, what do you think would've caused them to blow? My email address is [email protected] i have pictures of these discolored resistors if looking at them would be helpful. Thank you for all your help, seems like good help is becoming more and more difficult to by these days.
Mitsubishi WT 46805 convergence issue. I can align red mauualy but blue is frozen below. Reviewing some of your answers with similar problems I need replace the IC. I found the part # I think listed above IC 8001 etc and 8002 etc. Where are they found, where can I order them, and do I need both of them? Thank you for your comments
rls in pa said: I have a Mitsubishi WT-46805 TV with convergence issues. I cant use the factory restore setting and the advanced option does not work. I see that it might be the convergence IC's. Where inside the set can I find them?? Diagrams could be sent to my e-mail. Thanks
I have your same problem. How did you resolve yours?
