My son was given the WD-62825G by his mother who hadn't uses it in a year. When we set it up tried to turn it on and got the blinking green light. Pulled out the bulb and it looked ok, called Mitsubishi Consumer Relations and they said to have one of their repair companies come out to diagnose the problem which would cost $140.00. Then fax them the paper work and they would get back to me. Some gift.
After reading all the post, could you send me the instruction make repairs for the blinking green light. [email protected]
I got a replacement TV after arguing with Mitsubishi for a long time for 250.00 so don't give up. Keep calling and ask to talk to a supervisor, manager etc. The people who answer the phones have no power to do anything other than say no and hope you don't ask for a supervisor. Mine was delivered last week. Good Luck!!
I have been fighting with Mitsubishi since July 2010 for a 52" Rear Projection TV that kept turning itself off. I've gone to BBB, TV Stations 2-5-7 and 11. I have finally gotten some response from Dept of Consumer Affairs - a volunteer liason to talk to Mitsubishi even the liason said don't get your hopes up. I asked this liason about a class action law suit, he said if his talk with Mitsubishi doesn't work then I will need to go to Dept of Consumer Protection. I have no intentions of walking away - screwed by Mitsubishi -/ When I think of how much money I am out, it makes me sick and then to hear so many other people with the same problem, it's shameful. This is a fight I do not intend to lose!!
If your liason says dont get your hopes up then forget him. I did it by myself so can you!!! I had the 52 in also and got 60 inch replacement. Good Luck!!
This liason is a mediator for NJ Dept of Consumer Affairs "Alternative Dispute Resolution" 973-504-6100. Let me know if you get any results. I found out that the same office - State Attorney General's Office - Dept of Consumer Protection is the place I will need to go for Class Action Lawsuit, if this Mediator's attempts fail.
So get this.
Awhile back... I installed new caps (12 1000uf 16v caps), installed the FC connector switch and got the tv working. Bought a new lamp at the same time cuz the current lamp was going. Everything was great for about 8months or so.
Then, poof. Bglod is back. Checked out the caps i replaced, they look good however two caps on the power supply were bulged. A 3300uf cap, and a 1500uf cap were bulged @ the top. Replaced them and no luck. Still blinks. Even when the FC connector is pulled I cannot get this system to stop blinking. Sigh.
I remember reading somewhere (maybe here) that if pulling the fc connector didn't stop the blinking then to direct your attention to one specific board/component on that board...
Sigh...
Also, wasn't there a website that was selling a complete repair kit for this issue?
Can you please send the repair info to me? I have a Mitsubishi WD-62525 that has the green blinking light issue. My email address is [email protected]. Thank you in advance for your help!
Mitsu & violet, I've sent you the instructions, but barno I need an email address. You can pm it to me please, then I'll send you the link to all of the documentation.
can someone please help ? i just replaced DM caps and power board caps with upgraded voltage caps from repair world and tv worked great for 10min then turned off and green blinking light is back. unplugged tv and worked again about 7min then off . now green light stays on even after unplugging. anyone with an idea as to what i might try next ?
For what its worth. My set did not have any problems with the power supply caps but replaced them with no difference. Then I VERY CAREFULLY replaced the caps on the DM board , turned it on, the set has been working perfectly for four months now. It is very easy to damage the foil when removing the caps on the DM, perhaps this is the problem with those that say "replaced everything, still doesnt work".
Add one more to the list of frustrated Mitsubishi owners. I also have the dreaded blinking green light on my WD-62825. Could you please send me repair info at [email protected].
Just a note to those who are replacing the caps. I replaced all of the suggested caps in my WD-62725 and still had the same problem. Buried in my saved research was a message from someone who had put an external switch on the power lead of the PWD-DM card. That makes a two step startup process. With the PWD-DM card powered off. Plug in the TV and wait for the green blinking light to extinguish in the normal fashion. Once it is out turn on the PWD-DM board and you are ready to turn on and off the TV like it used to work. The only thing will be that if you get a power failure you will have to repeat the two step process. My TV has been operating beautifully that way for over a year. Good luck and I hope this helps someone.
Looks like I'm a little late to the party, but am having the same problem. Please send me the repair procedure for the Mits WD-62725. [email protected] Thanks!
