Can you send me the instructions for fixing the greel light of death?
Hi Larry ~
I posted to another thread but this one seems to be more appropriate for my issue. I have 65813, replaced the caps on the DM and still have the issue. I verified that the DM was seated properly so I moved onto the SMD fuses on the DM. I checked the continuity and found that F9B00 is shot...the other 2 appear to be fine. I'm going to do some searching on the message board but I'm hoping you might be able to point me to some tips on where to find the replacement fuse and how to install it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Larry ~
I did some reserach and I believe I found the right fuses here:
A quick search for "surface mount soldering" on YouTube and I found a bunch of really good instructional videos. I should have what I need in a couple of days and will be sure to post the results.
BTW, I found a post on another site that suggests soldering the fuse directly on top of the bad fuse rather than risk damaging the board (for those of us that have little or no experience in precision soldering). I believe the guy said it worked but he worried about the consequences. What are your thoughts? Thanks!
Well it seems as though this is a common problem with this set. I too have the Mitsu. WS-65813 which when I turnied it on tonight displayed nothing then the blinking light. I've disconnected power and reset the tv several times only to have the green light continue to blink on and on. Looks like you might have the fix for me, I would appreciate any suggestions you have.
Any chance I could get you to send them to me as well? My tv started the blinking green light of death a couple of years ago but then stopped. Recently, after adding a Samsung blue ray it started again. It has been intermittent as to working or not.
could you send me the repair manual for a Mitsubishi ws 55859. The power went out today and when it came back the green light was blinking. I'm trying a 4 hour shut down now but I'm sure it probably won't work. Thanks [email protected]
My WS-65813 also started to experience the dreaded blinking green light. Can you please e-mail to repair instructions to me at [email protected]? Thanks
Can anyone please email me the repair instructions for my WS-65813, I also have the blinking green light which will not stop. Any suggestions welcomed.

mfk68, What consequences? Solder on top is a great suggestion to keep from burning the board and splashing solder all over. An extra pair of hands with some pinpoint tweezers or such holding the fuse down in place while soldering is done is extremely helpful. The small fuse likes to stick to surface tension of the melted solder at the tip of the iron and jumps around on you.... Rich
I would wait for Larry's package before getting parts or doing the repair. Larry's package will guide you to some high reliability parts and couple of different solutions that are not in the "chrisandnat" link. With the Radio Shack parts you can set your stopwatch to be right back here in three years, except this time the caps might have caught on fire. Install the same parts and you will likely get the same results.
If you have already put in the Radio Shack or a "identical" part to what you removed, I highly recommend you remove them A.S.A.P. and install a set of caps with the higher ratings. Given the number of sets that have failed I would run with the very best that I could get!
Can anyone please email me the repair instructions for my WS-65813, I also have the blinking green light which will not stop. Repairman charged $99.00 to just walk in the front door and tell me that it was the DM Power Supply and would cost about #700.00 to repair. Any suggestions welcomed.
How can Mitsubishi let something like this go on and not issue a recall? When hundreds of people have the same problem is is a factory defect
WOW.... I am amazed of so many people having the same problem. I have a WS48613 and have the blinking green lights. I just had a repairman come in and replace the 4-caps on the DM boards and it didn't fix the problem. He is now saying it is the Power-supply board and it is going to be another $350. He says he hears a tick, tick, tick sound coming from the power-board. Do I need to replace the entire supply board or is there a transformer or other component .....that needs replaced. Any suggestions.
Ok, the repair man just left my house and fixed the blinking light. He replaced three of these DM's and now I am up and running just in time for the play offs. If you can solder then you can fix the problem. The DM is round, about 1/2 long and a quarter inch wide. They are black and silver in color. There are at least 3 to 4 of these things in the board. The board is located in a silver box in the rear of the TV. Slide the silver box toward you and unscrew a couple of screws and there you go. Not sure how he removed the old ones no more than using something that look like string and a solder iron. Hope this helps
Larry, I have a mitsubishi ws-65813 with the infamous blinking green light. Can you please send me the service manual and instructions on how to fix this? Thank you.
To get to the DM capacitors..........was the silver box the bigger silver box on left side or the smaller silver box in the middle. Having trouble getting unscrewed on the left side.

Seems I have the same issue on my WS-65813. Please email the instructions and manual to [email protected].
Thanks!
The RCA TV Sets do NOT have the same issue with a DM board double check the light positioning, and the lamp door locking screw.
I have the same blinking green light of death I am hearing about. I have a Mitsubishi 65813 rear projection TV.
I need to fix this asap.
I'm going to go buy the 4 1000uF/35 volt capacitors it seems that I might need, but I have not idea what these things are or how to install them.
Can someone please send me instructions?
Jack - I have the same issue.
Would you mind sending the instructions to me via email?
I found the 4 capacitors at Radio Shack, and I'm going to go buy them. I have no idea what to do with them once I get them, though.
I hope you got your TV fixed!
Can you send me the instructions for fixing the greel light of death?
I'm trying to fix this tonight.
thank you very much.

PS Thanks for sharing your fuse link.
(I posted this in another thread and will repeat and update for all)
All,
DO NOT USE THE PARTS RECOMMENDED IN THE "CHRISANDNAT" LINK! OR THE www.jyerdon.com/tv LINK! (The jyerdon link does mention he is not a technician so review the information below before proceeding!!!!) or the http://hdtvoice.com/voice/showthread.php?t=32186&page=1&pp=20 link
(although the disassembly pictures can be useful)
