Just removed the Radio Shack caps from the DM board on my WS-55859 and replaced with high quality correct caps as you instructed. The same problem still exists. The tv will come on, and stay on for a couple of minutes and shut down. It will power on as many times as I try, but will always power down after a couple of minutes. Any ideas on where to go from here?
My WD-52525 just got out from under its extended warranty, which I (stupidly it appears) opted not to renew.
Left for vacation and unplugged a bunch of AV equipment. When I got home 10 days later and plugged everything back in, I couldn't get the TV to come on at all. At one point in messing around with it, I did see the blinking green light (about four rapid blinks, then off, repeated five times). That's been the only response at all....
Just new to this forum -- have seen some other "fixes" for my Mits. WD-62725 on Google. Would appreciate you forwarding me your manuals, procedures, etc. for my TV. Email: [email protected]
Thanks in advance.
Can someone help me. I need step-by-step (baby steps) on how to reach the capacitors and replace them (someone will help me with that) on my piece of donkey dung WD-52525. I found step-by-step instructions for a WS-65513, is this basically the same set up?
Larry, I would really really appreciate it if you could send me the repair instructions for the GBLD on the WD52525. My email address is "[email protected]".
Please search the downloads section in the Technician's Corner Group and the articles section before posting. Most of what you all are asking for are already available for download and view.

Hey Larry. I have read all of these post. Can you send me the info also Please. I have the WD 52525 also with the blinking light, no picture and no sound. I thought it was the bulb so I replaced that to find out it did not fix the problem. I took the bulb out and held the saftey switch in and the color wheel is not turning, so I am wondering of these caps have any thing to do with it.
I down loaded the service manual. But in the earlier threads I read you have the schematics for replacing the caps on the dm board and the poer supply. Can you send them to me please [email protected]
I have the WD-52525.... some audio still there but no pic.... purple/green w/ static.... Please help. any help appreciated!!! manuals? docs? Send to [email protected]
I have ten 1000uf bad caps on three different boards in my WD-52525. This is the second time I'm having to replace caps. The first time was covered under warranty. I watched the repair tech replace the caps the first time which didn't look too hard, so I decided to do it myself this time. However, the problem I'm having is that I don't know the exact type (size, temp, tolerence, volt, etc.) I should order. Would u please send me what u can to help me out. Thanks, [email protected]
Hi, my WD- 52725 is also on the blink, can someone send me the service manual and/or the instructions for the capacitor fix. My e-mail is [email protected]
Same problem with the blinking green light. Pretty much was told it would cost $500 to repair, so I'll get another TV but would love to still be able to salvage this one if possible. It's the
I'm a novice just like many of one. My WD-52525 broken down last year when it was under warranty. I watched the repair tech replace a few bad caps. It looked pretty easy, so when my tv went down again I decided I was going to fix it. I found the service manuals after searching long hours online and quickly copied them to my laptop. I would not have attempted this without the manuals. The manuals have step by step instructions which are pretty easy to follow. So after I took it apart with only a screw driver, I discovered I had ten bad 1000 ufs caps on three different boards. Now here comes the hardest part so farÂ…finding the right replacement capacitors. I have been searching for weeks trying to find the exact one I need b/c there are many difference types (size, temp, tolerance, volt, etc.). A local TV repairman told me he would charge me $100 to tell me what type I needed & another $100 to solder them on. So after hours of researching different types of capacitors I came across this http://www.mouser.com/Search/ProductDetail.aspx?qs=jfcxgnXvzJM93czUSNbiz... . Even Larry agreed that it would work, so I placed my order. While I'm awaiting the parts from mouser IÂ’ve been practicing my soldering skills, which I pick up quickly from http://tvrepairkits.com/tips/52-general-tips/218-soldering-made-simple.html. Another thanks to Larry for this. This link will teach you everything you need to know about proper soldering & desoldering techniques. It only takes about 30 mins of practice to acquire very good soldering skills. The link also has a list of proper tools you will need which cost about $30 at radio shack. This is where IÂ’m at so far, so take my suggestions lightly until I get my tv working again. IÂ’m heading out of town tomorrow after work and wonÂ’t be back until Sunday. IÂ’m planning to get it up and running by Monday. IÂ’m taking my laptop with me so if anybody wants a copy of the service manuals for free send your request to [email protected].

Hello, Larry!
Came across this thread while searching for solutions to a blinking "Timer" light on the Mitsu WD-52525. Is it likely that the fix could be similar?
If so, and if you're still here and willing to help, any assistance (up to and including docs, schematics, etc.) would be most appreciated!
Thanks,
