Thanks for the prompt response...I tried the diag, and it returned error code 12...no error? Where do I go next? Can you please send me the service manual/repair docs plus any relevant pics/diagrams that will help me in my quest to repair this TV? I really appreciate the help...
Rather then start a new thread for an old topic, I thought I would post a comment here.I also have the green light no start up issue. Can someone please send me some service information for the Mitsubishi WS55511? It sounds like
the DM module is the place to start. Thanks, Jesse
Help...we have a mitsubishi ws-65909 and we had a storm today and out electricity went out and when it came back on tv would not come on. We get the blinking green light...tried the reset thing...no help. If anybody has any thing that may help we would greatly appreciate it. e-mail is [email protected] thanks so much
Hello, I got my Mitsubishi to get past the green blinking light problem. Tragically another problem has arose, the blue convergence is off. Specifically, the blue lines appear to be several inches away from the other lines and are in a arc/curvature pattern, I have tried adjusting the convergence horizontally and vertically, The convergence lines will move left to right but will not adjust the horizontal position. Help!!
-Anthony pretty much the exact same thing is happenning to me but it't with the Red convergence instead of the blue, i replaced the pico fuses and put in a new IC chip and the problem did not change, so either i got another convergence chip with the exact same malfunction or there is another part i need to look at on my Ws-65511. If anyone knows anythgin about this one feel free to email me a link to the solution at [email protected]

Hi Larry, A friend of mine has a WS55813 that has a constant blinking green light. She was told that it is the DM Port that needs replacing. Could you find the time to email me some suggestions or steps to repair this for her. My email is [email protected]
jason- I found the problem with the convergence looking like an hourglass, one of the pins to the convergence modules needed to be re-soldered. I had to pull out the big board. Then look at the pins to the big IC's connected to the large heat sink.
Thanks Larry for sending me the repair stuff a while back...I finally got a chance to work on this...and I got all the caps replaced...then went on to putting everything back together...and then I tore a ribbon cable =( now I don't know where to get a replacement...does anyone know where I can get this ribbon cable? It is one of the few white ones in my WD-52525 TV...it connected to the DM board...on it reads "SUMITOMO-M SWM 2896 80C VW-1 -F-"...does anyone know where I can buy a replacement? PLease help....on a side note...I am unable to locate the plug that goes into the PA slot on the DM board...Does this slot not have a plug on my WD-52525???? Thanks again, and hope to hear about these issues soon...
Larry, I am in the same boat with the blinking grean light on my WD-55813. Power outage...unpluged TV and then Reset several times. It blinks for a while and then stops...blinks for a while and then stops...won't stop doing this.
I am also having the flashing green light problem. I have model number MB52525. Please send the repair info and instructions to [email protected] I was wondering if this is a long term fix or will I have to do it again in a year or so? Since this tv was given to me, do you think I should attempt the repair or should I take it straight to the garbage dump? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Longhorn, after you unplug the set and plug it back in, the light is suppose to blink for about 70 seconds or so then stop, what happens when you press the power button at that time? if the set does not come on try pressing the input and menu button at the same time and see what the light flashes, it should be a two digit code. It will blink the code 5 times then stop
HELP! I have that blinking green light problem too. I have the Mitsubishi HDTV 1080 Model No. WS 55859 and was told by a tech that the portion of the DM board needed to be replaced and the part would run about $40. Single mother and want to do it myself!!! Can you please email me the manual for this model as well as where I can call to order this part. I just cannot fathom paying labor of $260 for a $40 part. Thank you in advance for your help.

So check this out...I got the cap, and it was slightly bigger than the one it was to replace...but I think I replaced it fine...I managed to get everything hooked up, and I managed to get it all to go back into the TV...after getting all the screws back in I gave it a test drive...and I am back at square 1...the relays click...and there is even a TWEET sound that comes from the TV...the blinky light goes on for about 70 secs...then shuts off...and the TV does not turn on when I hit the power button on the front panel nor when I try to use the power button on the remote...when I tried to do the reset...I got the same result as before I took anything apart...The blinky light goes on infinitely...I ran the diag and it returned "12"...one thing to note is that I do not have anything hooked up in the back(no inputs nor cable tv hookup)...but i'm assuming that does not have anything to do with it...I'm a bit frustrated and very disappointed with my work...It seems like all that I tried did nothing...can you shed some light? Or did I just waste some money and a lot of time?
I have the same issue as most.
WS 55859 blinking green light tv will not turn on. tweeter came out said i needed a new dm assembly (which is no longer made)
How do you know if the whole assembly needs replacement or just the caps you keep referring too? If indeed i need the whole assebly part #955c23001 does anyone know where i can get this? [email protected]
Regardless i will take the manual to see if anything can be done

Ok well, I have not heard anything from anyone about what I should do next...I found the DM board and the Power Board on eBay totaling about $200...the people that refurbish the chassis had quoeted me $420 for the repair....should I try to still do this myself? Is it even worth fixing? I don't want to pay 200-450 for something that will just break down again in about 6 months or so....any ideas? Any response would be greatly appreciated...

It could be DM Capacitrs or capacitors in the main power supply, there are also caps going bad on the FMT board as we speak. If you wish to see which ones go bad, but there is no garrentee this will fix your set, leave an e-mail address and i will share this wth you. Good Luck
Hey Larry, I've ben finally getting around to doing the repair on my Mits WD-62825 set. I have just about completely disassembled my TV, cleaned everything out really well and have the chasis removed with all 5 boards removed and ready to be repaired.
So far I have identified all the the Jamicon Caps 220uf and larger. I have also verified using the data sheets provided on Mouser what Caps can be replaced with one that is rated at the next highest voltage (because of the size difference). The main reason for this is that I also found a few Nichicon caps that are bulging as well. This could be a result of the other caps failing or it could be related to someone trying to save money and go with bare minium. Ya can't blame a company for trying to save a few pennies when you can save 10's of thousands of dollars when you use such are large quantity. Forgot to mention, the Caps that I plan to use are Nichicon Low Impedence type to provide an extra level of protection.
Could ya please send the repair literature that you have to [email protected] ?
I have a Mitsubishi WS-55511 with the blinking green light problem. I have pressed the reset button and the light continues to blink. I have unplugged the TV for 24 hours plugged it back in and the light still blinks.
Could I get a copy of the repair instruction and/or the service manual. My email is [email protected]
Thanks for all of you help.
Another blinking green light. The model is a WD-52725. I downloaded a service manual. After reading some tech blogs, I went ahead and replaced the 4 caps on the DM board and board to the left of it (they looked blown also) After putting it back together...same thing. Blinking green light. Obviously I missed something. (power supply?) Any more info/instruction would be great. One more shot at it before I go shopping. The E-mail is [email protected]
