Larry,

Larry,

I am one of the 30-35% of the people that the capacitor fix did not work for.  Is there anything else that I can do without having to haul this thing to the local repair man (at a cost of $250 just to unscrew the screws and take a look.)?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ty

Larry,

Larry,

Well After a reset the blinking light is no longer an issue.  The TV starts up just fine but the colors and still terrible.  The TV picture is very WHITE - the colors are very dim.  The best example is that the Blue Directv header is basically grey.  What could this be??  Is the bulb the issue?  Any help would be greatly appreciated in this department.

Hi Larry

Hi Larry

I have a Mit wd-62725 and of course the green light of death.  I have done tons of research.  I have already ordered the caps from mouser friday.  I want to be fully ready when I get them can you possibly email me the repair manual for this set.  I have the orignal factory manual and the service manual downloaded already.  My email is  [email protected]

Ah and also I am getting an error message of 37 I found sites that says this is 37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped and in the service manual I downloaded from another site says 37 Engine (DMD or Lamp) Fan Failure.  My question is am I on the right track on replacing these caps on the DM board?

Thanks in advance

Marco

Can you send me the directions for fixing the dm board for a constant green blinking light for my Mitsubishi WD-52525

sorry bout that Larry will

sorry bout that Larry will wait for you manual.

Larry Dillon
Marco, your problem most

Marco, your problem most likely is not the DM capacitors. You can certainly open it and have a look. I would take a look at the fans and replace the sensor. Sometimes when this error occurs, the optical engine is bad, and sometimes it is only a bad fan. Do not attempt to save a few bucks and try and get a replacement for the fan. Order the right one. You will be better off in the end.

Greg, I cannot send you

Greg, I cannot send you anything without an e-mail address.

Hi Larry,

Hi Larry,

Like everyone else in the world, my -13 series mitsu (ws-55513 to be precise) has gone green. I'm sad and lost and alone and I'd really like to watch the game in HD. Can you help a buddy out? My soldering iron is hot and ready.

Also, will high heat tolerance caps be enough to stave off future occurences, or do you recommend some sort of added cooling system? Many thanks in advance.

Third Mitsubishi 65" set that

Third Mitsubishi 65" set that we had the "flashing light" problems with.  The dealer was kind enough to replace it twice - since it was brand new.  The third time we upgraded to the "Diamond" model (WS-65813), thinking we would get past the problem.  Now we've had the set too long to get the replacement.  Please forward the instructions to: [email protected]

Thanks!

Larry Dillon said: If you

Larry Dillon said: If you are handy, and can solder, you may be able to save about 700 bucks if not more. There is a very common problem with these Mitsubishi TV sets. There is a digital board inside these puppies called the DM board. A lot of times there are four capacitors that go bad inside of these TV sets. Sometimes, depending on how bad the capacitors are, and if the capacitors did not blow out anything else on the Dm board, you can simply replace these four capacitors and this will fix your TV set. The average that this works on is about 65 to 70 % of the sets can be repaired with this fix. The others are power supply issues or the DM board has other issues. If you would like to attempt to repair your TV set, I will send you the instructions on how to do so.  If you do not know how to solder well, do not attempt to replace the capacitors yourself. Pay a pro to do this for you. After all you are already saving a bundle of cash. Leave an e-mail address, and I will forward you the fix with and without the light engine. And if the capacitors inside the board are not swollen on the tops, as the direction shows you what they look like, change the capcitors anyway. I have had a few that looked good but the capacitors were on their way out. Good Luck

can you please send me the [email protected] a bunch
