I too, have the blinking green light of death. I also have a friend who can solder. Please send the info for the fix to [email protected] I have a WS-65513
Up and running as mentioned in earlier post. But....
I just went to run my camcorder by plugging in to the rca jacks on front on the tv. But the rca jacks do not seem to work. Nothing comes through. Nada. I was thinking that when I plugged in the usb and 1394 plugs on top of the dm maybe I did not plug in all the way the USB plug on the top of the case.
Larry Dillon said: If you are handy, and can solder, you may be able to save about 700 bucks if not more. There is a very common problem with these Mitsubishi TV sets. There is a digital board inside these puppies called the DM board. A lot of times there are four capacitors that go bad inside of these TV sets. Sometimes, depending on how bad the capacitors are, and if the capacitors did not blow out anything else on the Dm board, you can simply replace these four capacitors and this will fix your TV set. The average that this works on is about 65 to 70 % of the sets can be repaired with this fix. The others are power supply issues or the DM board has other issues. If you would like to attempt to repair your TV set, I will send you the instructions on how to do so. If you do not know how to solder well, do not attempt to replace the capacitors yourself. Pay a pro to do this for you. After all you are already saving a bundle of cash. Leave an e-mail address, and I will forward you the fix with and without the light engine. And if the capacitors inside the board are not swollen on the tops, as the direction shows you what they look like, the capacitors are most likely not your problem. Larry, I have the same problem with my WS-55613. I left for vacation and now I have the blinking green light. I think this has to be the same problem. The TV has the HD tuner in it but I use it as a monitor and everything goes through my audio/video receiver and the cable dvr. Thank you, My email is [email protected]
Hey Larry I need those instructions if you don't mind send to [email protected]

Hi Larry, Changed out the capacitors but still won't come on. I noticed a wire that was connected on one end but not another and it has a plug. I can't find any wiring diagrams. I'll explain it in case you know. It is a group of all black wires, seven total. The one end is plugged in on the right hand side of the chassis board (if facing the back of the tv). The word next to it is cold. I don't see a place to plug in the other end of this puppy. Thanks for any help you can give. Michelle [email protected] Mitsubishi WS-55513
Hi Larry? I have a a model ws-65713 that is having the dreaded blinking green light. It stopped and worked for about two weeks, but now has stopped entirely. Can you please send us the info to try to DM repair? Your help is appreciated: [email protected]
Hello Larry, I think I have now figured out how this moderator thing works and will send this request for a set of schematics and instructions for blinking green WS-65613 light on my Mitsubishi TV. I'm an electircal engineer and look forward to getting back to my roots. [email protected] By the way, my DM board attaches to the mother board with several white wire connectors. It is not a stand alone module. Will this require special handling or instructions?
Please folks, you only have to post ONCE!!! And on ONE thread. I am sending out the info you requested with the next mailing tonight to those who left a good e-mail address. Good luck with the repair.
Heh.....been searching the posts for a while. I could have sworn I saw a Mouser.com link to the equivalent Panasonic caps that Digikey has. Anyone have the number?

Thanks Thomas. Digikey has a 13 week backorder on these capacitors. Know of any other parts suppliers that may have these capacitors?
Thanks again Larry. I going to Radio Shack today to buy the recommended 45 watt desoldering iron. I don't want to invest this much time and not go with the "Larry Dillon" recommended capacitors so I'll work with Mouser to get the good stuff.
Thanks again for your support. If it works, congrats is on the way! Franki

Can you also send me the instructions? Sounds like I have the same problem. My brother in-law thought that this might be the problem.
We seem to have the same blinking problem with my mitsubishi 55513. We have done the reset thing and still not working. We've called mitsubishi and they just went through the same process we had already done. We have called a repair shop and they want 150 to just pick up the tv and another 300 to look at it. Plus parts. Wewas excited to read that you have helped many people fix their own tv and are hoping you can sent directions so we can fix ours. If possible please send to [email protected]
Thanks!! This looks like what we need. I will have my brother in-law take a look at it and get to work. Any idea on how much it would cost (approx) to have someone come fix it? I am sure a bunch!
Sure Tom, they are on there way. Good Luck

Hello Larry,
WS65513 same blinking light problem, I can let the light blink for 12 to 20 hours and it may reset.
When I start having the blinking light problem is when I try to change from one device to another,
is this still connected to the capacitors problem? If so can you email me the procedure and the size capacitors
capacitors that are to be replaced? Thanks, Jimmy

Larry,
Thanks a bunch. The Cap replacement fixed my unit. You saved me a ton of money.
Thank you!!

You know, in a pinch, you can use Radio Shack capacitors. They are 1000 MFD capacitors. Go HERE and find tons of hi temp caps you can order. Good luck
a data sheet from Mouser http://www.mouser.com/catalog/632/634.pdf
