Larry Dillon said: If you are handy, and can solder, you may be able to save about 700 bucks if not more. There is a very common problem with these Mitsubishi TV sets. There is a digital board inside these puppies called the DM board. A lot of times there are four capacitors that go bad inside of these TV sets. Sometimes, depending on how bad the capacitors are, and if the capacitors did not blow out anything else on the Dm board, you can simply replace these four capacitors and this will fix your TV set. The average that this works on is about 65 to 70 % of the sets can be repaired with this fix. The others are power supply issues or the DM board has other issues. If you would like to attempt to repair your TV set, I will send you the instructions on how to do so. If you do not know how to solder well, do not attempt to replace the capacitors yourself. Pay a pro to do this for you. After all you are already saving a bundle of cash. Leave an e-mail address, and I will forward you the fix with and without the light engine. And if the capacitors inside the board are not swollen on the tops, as the direction shows you what they look like, change the capcitors anyway. I have had a few that looked good but the capacitors were on their way out. Good Luck

Larry Dillon said: Yes I will send out the documents so you can see if this is indeed your problem with your TV set. Good Luck with the repair.

My Mitsubishi WS55909 has been working fine for over 5 years. We had a power outage lasting 3 days. When power was restored we get the never ending blinking green light. Pressing reset has no effect. I was wondering if it could be the capacitors on the DM board. I realize there could be several possibilities. If you have instructions on a possible fix for this model along with a service manual, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You in advance for any help with this issue.
You seem to be the guy my light only blinks 3 times then stops do you think i have the same problem. TV would not start after moving it to new house ws-55513. If you think i should replace please send the plans. Thank you.

Sorry, I just joined this group because mine is doing exactly the same thing. It has had its moments ever since I bought it where it would suddenly turn off and do th4e flashing green light thing. This time it took three days (over Christmas) before it would come back on. I think I'm heading down the capacitor route. If anybody had the instructions and can mail them to me that would be great. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.
I, too, have a WS-65813 with the blinking green light problem (Seems like the Christmas Grinch just visited...)
