How to set recording speed on recorder.

I have an Ilo DVDRecorder it is an 05 MU/1 I was wondering how to set the recording speed.

I also wondered if it is possible to watch the TV while the recorder is recording movies that have already been recorded by the Tivo.

Dvd vcr combo power problems

Sony SLV-D950 problem with power after a tape got stuck, now nothing seems to be working, standby light will come on (Eventually) but other than that nothing. Standby light will flash twice, then nothing. Checked fuses etc, nothing. Hope you can help.

volume too low on rental dvds

Volume on rental dvds way too low, have to have volume all the way up. This would blast us out if we were watching regular tv. Any suggestions? We have tried 2 different vhs/dvd player/recorders thinking that was the problem. Thanks

recording from digital video camera

I can not get my Quasar VCR vh435 to record from my Sony digital video camera.I have video connector in slot that says video in. I have Rt, & Lt. audio in slot that says in. Is there something else that needs to be done? tried swithing the Channel 3 /4 button

Problems connecting Thomson DTR6000AU to TV.

I have connected the Thomson DTR6000AU unit to my Philips TV but I cannot get the DTR to work. I followed the instructions in the User Manual on Connecting Your DVR, but it still does not work. Does it have to be connected with a VCR unit as well.
