Video Playback / Recording Devices

i connected my vcr to my computer to record some home taped tapes and it worked fine. I then reconnected it to the tv and that's when I found out it won't switch to the required channel to record a program. I try switching to the channel and I get a snowy, noisy picture as tho I disconnected the RF cable from the VCR to TV.  it's recording channel 3 ok but not the channel I want. can anyone advise what the problem may be?? 

I am tying to connect the GX330 to an existing system. The GX 330 will not record and the actual stations only go up to 125 on the GX, so I have it set on L1 but still nothing. The order is Digital Cable box - inserted GX330, by attaching AV (Y/R/W) to L1 in and Y/R/W out to- old RCA DVD player with sound system(because I want to keep surround sound) - Toshiba TV.  I also have a VCR directly connected to the cable box and Tv but not the RCA unit.

Puzzled

I have a Sharp DV-NC55 dvd, vcr combo and it has been working fine, but suddenly when I try to play a dvd, on screen appears "wrong disc type", and the disc ejects. I have changed the Pal to NTSC/PAL and both still do not play the disc.

Anyboby know why this has happened and how I can cet to seeing my dvd's again
