my daughter dropped a small comb into the dvd player door on the jvc player and closed it and now it wont open
how can i fix it?

I am hoping that someone out there can give me a clue as to 1) why some of my programing is recording in Spanish, when "English" is selected for the language, and....
2)what has happened that is causing my vcr to put out this long loud signal sound much like the regular Emergency Broadcast test signal?

I have to admit to be a really non-technical person, and need help! :)

I wonder if anyone can help me, with what is probably a simple question:

I have a sony KV14T1U TV and a sony dvd player, plugged in the scart socket, when i play the dvd, all seems well, but it keeps cutting back to normal tv, rather than staying on the av channel.

Anyone know why? Or what i can do to fix it?
I've lost my telly manual :-(
