Volume on rental dvds way too low, have to have volume all the way up. This would blast us out if we were watching regular tv. Any suggestions? We have tried 2 different vhs/dvd player/recorders thinking that was the problem. Thanks

Hi Buzz,
If you're using the TV for sound, check the audio setup options for
the movie, and select a Dolby Surround or Dolby 2.0 track if available.
Oftentimes there is a significant volume reduction when the player has
to downconvert DD 5.1 into two channels. Unfortunately, not all movies
have both tracks available.
Otherwise, have you checked all of
your audio setup options in the player as well as the TV? Maybe there
is something in there you overlooked that may help.
To infinity.... and beyond!
