Help for this senior!! Had this VCR since 1999 and it has worked perfect. I went out of town and had programmed it for two weeks. When I returned last week it was on but wouldn't work.

I have my TV coming thru it and I get perfect reception on the TV mode. Called Cable TV this a.m. and they think it's the VCR. Tried to play a movie...no go...tried to get VCR to show me a Menu...no go. All I get when I go to VCR mode is a crummy black, moving and distorted screen.

Any suggestions?

DVD Player Trouble

Hi, I am having trouble with my home DVD player. At first I thought it was the rentels, had to take several back, and The Avaitor 3 times before it would play all the way through. Just bought Oprah's DVD set and it's doing the same thing. The problem is, it plays for a while than just stops, it still has video, no audio, start over and sometimes it plays past the spot it stopped the first time, sometimes not. It is a brand new, inexpensive model, I don't get it. Please Help..AL

DVD player won't stay closed

I've got a Sylvania DVD player and it won't stay closed when I try to close it, it just pops back open. The only way to get it to close is to turn off the power. If anyone knows why this is, I'd appreciate your comments, thank you.

Apex DVD player Univerals Remote Codes

I have looked EVERYWHERE in my hometown and on the internet for a universal remote code for my APEX dvd player. I have managed to find MANY sites that offer MANY codes but none have any for apex. I was going to order a replacement remote but....the thing cost almost as much as the dvd player cost. If anyone knows where I can get apex codes for my universal remote, I would love you forever!!! :)
