Go Video 9300

Help for this senior!! Had this VCR since 1999 and it has worked perfect. I went out of town and had programmed it for two weeks. When I returned last week it was on but wouldn't work.

I have my TV coming thru it and I get perfect reception on the TV mode. Called Cable TV this a.m. and they think it's the VCR. Tried to play a movie...no go...tried to get VCR to show me a Menu...no go. All I get when I go to VCR mode is a crummy black, moving and distorted screen.

Any suggestions? I'm going to try to get back there and unplug and "re hook up" the vcr.

Thanks.

Sounds like your VCR is hosed

Sounds like your VCR is hosed, especially if you get the TV signal through it fine and you can't play a movie. I can't see how trying a "re hook up" will help. Time for a new VCR, or better yet get a DVR from your cable company for a few extra dollars a month! No more tapes and no worries!
