Pictures to come, but here's the generally gist: I took my Nokia 3650 and my new Dell Axim 50v with me, in lieu of a laptop and the cellphone pairing. I can tell you all a few things you may or may not know about this combo:
Have your chargers available. I had chargers for both, while a buddy of mine only had his car charger for his phone. He had to watch his usage every day as a result.
Cellphone signals have gotten dramatically better in Las Vegas since I last visited in 1996 (awhile). I got five-by-five in all but the innermost parts of casinos, and I had 100% coverage in every LA elevator I was in (yes, Jack Bauer's cellphone really does work that well in LA, apparently).
Any classic gamer knows that playing old school NES games on the original NES hardware always starts with a fight to get the game running. The classic hardware is a front-loading (zero-insertion force) design where you slide the cartridge in from the front, and press down to lock it into place. Unfortunately, this design causes frequent problems when trying to start your game. More often than not, you'll get the blinking power light, or a garbled version of the game.
I have a sony CD/Clock radio I will need to replace soon. I liked the sound quality on it, but the cD player has recently quit working.
In the next model I am going to look for a larger, brighter display. I find it difficult to read the black on grey numbers at night from across the room.
What I like best about it is the multiple alarm settings, I can have up to 3 alarms set, one for CD, one for radio, and one for buzzer.
This is a great little gadget. I have been using them for about 3 years, and find it way easier to get my kids to brush their teeth with the spin brush. They seem to spend more time brushing their teeth, which leads me to believe that they are doing a better job.
I love having an inexpensive option when it comes to electric toothbrushes. Being a gadget person, any automation makes the job more fun.
