I wish I had found this sooner. From another site I learned that the caps needed replacing on my Mitsu 62825. I replaced my caps with ones from RadioShack 1000uF 36v didn't know I needed high temp.It worked for a while now it doesn't. What do I need to check besides replacing the caps.

Hello, Im hoping I have the

Hello, Im hoping I have the same issue as to most going on here and its the caps. Ill give a brief explaination of what happened and if its the same, could someone send me the repair guide?

Blinking green light started like a year ago, but if I hit the reset, it would cure the problem. Then after some time going by, the reset wouldnt work anymore, so I had to resort to just unplugging tv for a little while and then back in and that would cure the problem. I dont watch tv much ( unless its football season ) and I noticed the less I watched the tv the more frequent the blinking light would just come on. SO I started to just turn the tv on and walk away and that kept the blinking light from coming on, till the other day. I was watching tv shut it off, came back 3 hours later and when I turned on the tv, I had multi color lines on the screen ( sound was fine ). So I shut tv off, waited a little bit, then back on, and so were the lines. I unplugged the tv let it sit for a day and plugged it back in, this time, the blinking lights started right away ( reset didnt work ). So I unplugged it again for a day and repeated the process and still have the blinking lights, so Im guessing the tv is dead.

If this sounds like something that can be fixed with the cap change out, please advise and send reapir guide ( football season is only a month away!!! ) I thank you and you have my appreciation.

EDIT: Just wanted to add the manuf date is Nov 2004 and I have yet to change the bulb. This is the first issue with the tv. Thank you

Larry Dillon said: If the light keeps blinking, it most likely not the thermal cutoff sensor. There are SEVERAL capacitors that go bad in this TV set and I have a DLP repair document to help you locate those capacitors. I simply replace all of them and the sets most of the time come back to life. About 65% work, the others have other problems like bad light engines, bad thermal sensors, bad bulbs, bad ballast circuits. Loads of problem with these set. If you wish, leave an e-mail address and I will share these with you. Good Luck

Hi Larry, My picyure went out, without warning. I thought it was the lamp so i replaced it. Still no picture. I had the red lamp light on. I took the lamp out and replaced it again. Now I have a yellow status light flashing. The sound responds to whatever channel I have on but no picture. Also I cracked the top right corner by a few millimeters where the right screw on the housing lamp is(not sure if that matters) I tried to take a look from the back but didn't see much and didn't want to proceed without a manual. Any help you can give me would be much appreciated. It sounds like you know what you are doing.

Thanks

I had the capacitors replaced

I had the capacitors replaced and the light engine Mitsubishi actually assisted with the parts for light engine after jumping up and down and crying like a baby that was in May 2008 still I paid close to a grand for repairs. I`m on my second bulb since then, what rip-off and I sold these sets for ten years! Now I have a problem with the set just having a blinking green light of course and shutting off. This happens now and then now it seems to becoming more prevalent am I looking at another future problem please direct I`m at [email protected]!

ahhhh! oK, Called Mitz about

ahhhh! oK, Called Mitz about my WD 62825 the said they wanted a diagnosis done and gave me a service cen number. Service Cen said they wanted 100 bucks for diagnosis. I called Mitz and they said they would cover the diagnosis. They sent the Diagnosis to Mitz AND Mitz said they would cover parts only. Labor was 225.
The service center said the 225 does not cover the profit on the parts so the labor plus parts 275. I told Mitz that I wanted them to pay for the labor and they said that the would throw in a 1 yr warranty and if I had any problems with the tv that they would replace it. We all know there should be a recall on all the Mitsubishi DLP TV's!!! It is a failed technology! How many TV's does it take to get a recall or a class action lawsuit? Instead of posting on this site we should log complaints on regulated official consumer complaint site. Anyone know how to light an fire under their azz? Lets grab some torches and start marching!!!!!

I purchased my Mitsubishi

I purchased my Mitsubishi WD62825 TV on May 2005. I have had 3 bad bulbs. Last year I had the freaken blinking light problem. I first went to the dealer that sold me the TV (paid $5000.00 for the it) and they acted like they have never seen me. Gave me a number that did nothing for me. Called Mitsubishi and talked to some guy that did not speak English. Granted, my extended warranty ran out 2 weeks after my blinking light problem. He game me a number to call, a repair shop. Take it to the repair shop, in which they have around 20 Mitsubishi blinking light TVÂ’s for repair. They service guy laughed at me, I guess because I own one. Mitsubishi agreed to pay for the parts (WOW) I had to pay for the labor $300.00. It only took 3 months to get the part, thanks Mitsubishi. Picked up TV up at the end of December, NOW it's August and you know what's next, YES, I have a blinking green light. YA. Can't wait to see what happens next.

I know Larry. The problem is

I know Larry. The problem is with Mitsubushi. I called the company and talk to a guy name Walter. I told Walter this is not going to happen again. I will not pay for another blinking light fix. I will throw the freaken TV out, next to the shop I purcahse the pile of crap. Stand next to the pile of crap Tv with a sign, MITSUBUSHI SUCKS.
I called the shop where I purchased the tv and he said the Mitsubushi rep is going to take care of this problem. I can't wait.

i had the same problem and

i had the same problem and all I did was unplug it til the light went off.  Plugged it back in and held the power button down for 10 seconds to do a master reset.  The light will continue to flash for bout 5 minutes or so and then turn off.  Then I pushed the power button again to turn the tv on and it worked.
