My friend gave me his ws

My friend gave me his ws-65511 because he could not get it to work...so I figured there is no harm in pulling it apart and trying to fix it myself (bglod). The light blinks and the tv does not turn on - no error codes are given, just a constant blink. I am going to change the caps and perhaps the Convergence IC, but I live in a town with no electronic stores so everything has to be ordered. Other than those parts that cause the issues with the tv is there anything else? I want to try to make one order as most parts a pretty cheap. Thanks!

Larry or anyone who can help,

Larry or anyone who can help,
I've got a Mits WS-55711 that turns on for about a second before powering itself back down. The green led light comes on during that second, but the screen is completely black. I've got a service manual and tried looking for the error code, but the TV doesn't provide any info when the menu and enter buttons are pressed together and held for 5 seconds. I've read similar problems here at this forum and could use some help. Is the TV ready to go to the dumpster or is this fix as simple as replacing a couple of fuses and the convergence IC? This TV used to have the blinking light of death, but I fixed that a few months ago. Please email me at [email protected] with any info. Much appreciated.

Hi Larry or anyone with a helpful idea,

I have a Mitsubishi WD-52725 with a continuous blinking green timer light. I have pressed the reset button and the light continues to blink. I have unplugged the TV for 24 hours plugged it back in and the light still blinks.  I can't turn the TV on.

I have had my TV for 3+ years. Could I get a copy of the repair instruction and/or the service manual.  My email is [email protected].  Any input on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!!

Eric

A quick update. I ordered and

A quick update. I ordered and replaced the 7 caps on the board of my ws-65511...buttoned up the tv and plugged it in. The light flashed for 30 secs continually and then stopped - so I pressed the power button. The green light came on for about a second and it sounds like the TV turned on as well , but then everything turned off. I get the 2 - 2 error code indicating a short. What should I do next?

I just bought a mitsubishi wd

I just bought a mitsubishi wd 52525 and i've read all the horror stories now about the set. I had a little trouble with the flashing green light initially but it seems fine for now. I blame that on the below zero wind chills we have tonight when i hauled it home. I have also read about the screen flickering and waving a bit on these sets and notice it a bit on this one. I only gave $500 for it so i can afford to put some cash into it if need be, but if possible i would like to do the work mostly on my own. Any advice!!! thanks

Thank you for the great

Thank you for the great foroum and advice, again thank you. What I do not understand is why the answer to the questions do not seem to be answered in the same forum. Where do we as outside the topic get the answer to the question that was asked? Thanks for helping me understand what I do not Know !!!

My motto , There are no stupid questions only stupid answers ! So please don't regard as ignorant' I just need assistants . Thanks again D. G.

Hi Larry and All..

Hi Larry and All..

Add one more to the blinking LED club. My WS 55511 started doing this the day before yesterday. Larry, could you please email me the spec sheets as you have done for others? [email protected] After following all these comments, it seems like it would be good if you could put those documents somewhere on the net and save a great deal of emails.

Many Thanks...

Rich

My Mitsubishi TV went out

My Mitsubishi TV went out yesterday. My kids and I were watching a batman cartoon when the picture started to look like we needed to be wearing 3d glasses. I power the set off and back on and it would have normal picture for a while but returned to red blue blurry lines on the screen. Eventually the tv powered off on its own. When I power it back up it will not come on and turns off after a few seconds. Used the reset button and the power light would blink but the tv never came to a picture. Right now if you power the tv on the green power light comes on and then turns off after a few seconds.
Is this the capacitor problem? If so can you send me PDF for fixing? I am at work but I think I have one of the WS 1080i 65 inch rear projection models.
