Hi Larry,

Hi Larry,

I had Sears to come out and check my TV. They ordered me a lamp. I will have to put it in myself when it comes UPS. I new I should've just ordered it myself and put it in. I figured they would've done that for me. They had to order it. I didn't know it would be that easy to place it in the front. I thought it had to go in the back of the tv.

OH well. After $500.00 I learn my leasson.

Thanks for everything.

Larry -

Found the instructions on replacing the suspect caps on my WS-55711 and had that done for about $15.00.

I put the DM board back in and reconnected it last evening.

I get a fast blink for about 25 or so seconds before the unit shuts down.

I am getting a diag code of 12 "no problem has occurred" using the front panel.

There was a reference earlier in this thread that said

"If it doesn't after the repair try disconnecting the from pwr/vol/chan circuit board and turning it on. Thats what I had to do to get mine to work."

I am thinking that I should try that but I am not sure what "disconnecting fro pwr/vol/chan" actually means.

I have the service manuals in PDF format and I am hoping you could clarify what needs to be disconnected from what.

Thanks!

I own a Mits WD-52628 (52") with the blinking green light. I've disassembled the set. The boards have the following:
DM board (three 25V and 680mF; six 25V and 680mF - 9 caps total)
MICRO board (four 35V and 470mF; one 16V and 270mF; one 10V and 20mF - 6 caps total)
FMT board (0 caps)
RISER board (0 caps)
POWER board (27 caps I can count)
Have several questions while I have the set apart:
1) Which caps on the DM board should be replaced?
2) Should any caps on the MICRO or PWR board be replaced?
3) Should I replace any of the PWR board fuses (I see two)?
4) Are there any other components that should be replaced (I've seen in other posts reference to power supplies, filters, etc.).
Thank you very much in advance,
Scott

Hi Larry!

Hi Larry!
wow glad I found this site. I have the same problem many have encountered here. I have a WS-55711 which does not power up. Plug it in and green light blinks. Then try to power up and light stays green for a few seconds then nothing. Hopefully I could get a service manual from you and save my $5000 investment. Thanks. Here is my email: [email protected]. Thank you again

Hi Larry,

Hi Larry,
Sat down this evening and turned on the TV to watch the news with the Mrs and have been staring at nothing but a blinking green light for the last hour. Started searching the web and quickly found this site, and hoping that you can help me out! Can you send me your repair instructions (and service manual if available).

One unique thing about the TV's environment is that today it is very cold here in New England, and the heating zone for the room which the TV is in has failed, such that the room is about 10 degrees cooler than normal (about 60F). Is there any history of there being a connection with low ambient temperature to the onset of this problem? Might this clear itself up once we fix the heat? (wishful thinking)

Model is Mitsubishi WS-65813
My email is [email protected]

Happy Holiday's Larry,

Happy Holiday's Larry,

I have a WS-65611 that does not respond to the power button or remote ( no green light at all) I have looked at the capacitors and all look OK - not swollen or burst (7 on the DM Power). I have tried disconnecting the control panel on the front and use the remote with no luck. Tried various power sources (HDTV has Monster Power conditioner). I hear voltage when plug in - out. Please send the service manual to [email protected] and any advice/directions on what I should do next.

Thank You...

Thank You

Larry,

Larry,

It seems like you are the one that I need to talk to. I need some help please. I have the Model 55511 and the red projector is offset. I went to the setup menu and I can adjust the blue, but the red won't move at all and it's offset about an inch and a half or so to the left. It makes my screen play in that old school "3D" affect. I was wondering if you could help me or send me instructions on how to fix this. ([email protected])

Thank you;

Nick

Hi Larry. Like all the other

Hi Larry. Like all the other poor saps I read here, my ws65909 has been manifesting the green blinking timer light after the power went out during the storm the other night.

After searching the internet, I can't believe how pervasive this problem is on Mit TV products, and seems to me to be a serious design flaw. Can anybody else spell
