I see that you are the hero here. I am a new in here but my mits 52725 has now the blinking light of death. Please send me the repair documentation and service manual to [email protected]
3 year old WD 52525, picture went squiggly on dish via hdmi, analog antenna reception OK and then it went squiggly. Then failed. Had 2 bulbs and with each had different lights and error codes. Turned out to be the 2 3300uf caps on the power supply board. They are the ones just to the left and at the bottom of the 2 heat sinks on the board displayed at the top of the forum page.
$7.70 in parts, about 4 times that in diesel fuel, and a couple of days later, got it working and only 4 screws left over.
Larry (or anyone who has the manual) we too are having a problem with the green light blinking then a solid red light on the WD52525. Tv comes on for about 3-5 secs then shuts down, We replaced the lamp and it worked for about 3 days then the blinking green light and solid red started. Could you email me the manual for fixing this. I would sure appreciate it. Thanks.
I believe the manual was sent to me previously but somehow I cannot find it. I was lucky enough to get the tv to go back on for a month but the blinking green light is back. Please email me the information again. [email protected]
I too have the blinking green light that will not stop on my Mitsubishi TV (WD52525 or WD52725) . I've already tried everything short of taking the TV apart. If someone could please email me the repair instructions for taking out the board, I would really appreciate it.
I am looking for repair instructions so I can pull out the boards and hopefully repair my WD52725. Please forward the instructions to my email address [email protected].
Larry, I to have the blinking green light of death on a model WD-52525. When you have time could you please email me the info on how to solve this problem. my address is [email protected] Thank you very much!
Confirmed that the 2 capacitors are bulging on my tv. Can anyone tell me where i can order the 3300uf capacitors,,,,,,I dont want to put in another 10 volt would like at least a 16 volt. Anyone know where I can order and perhaps a part number?
Oh I forgot to mention that my Caps are higher voltage rating for the 1000uF. You'll have to either get those caps as far down on the board and put some electrical tape on top to prevent shorting or have them a little out and flex them to the side to avoid contact. I went with putting it close to the board. This only happened for 1 board.
Hey I have one of these lucky sets I am having a blinking timer light could anyone help me. I hate to just toss it away and don't want a crazy repair bill. Thanks for anyhelp that can be given..wd52525

I had the same problem with my WD-52525. I replaced the caps and have the same problem. I have boughten a new (non-Mitsu of course), and don't give a f#ck what happens to it. So . .if you want to fix it and keep it for yourself . .awesome, some get it. If you want the spare parts, come get it. I am done and over with it. I don't have the time to mess with it anymore.
I live in SoCal (Pasadena, CA 91105). If you're interested in taking my set, please email me @ [email protected]
sorry you could not repair your TV set I wish I lived closer to you as I would have loads of those sets. there are a lot of folks who are luck and do ix h tv set by replacing he caps.
Well we replaced the two bulging capacitors and put everything back together,,,,,,,,green light blinked for about a minute then went steady green, powered up and asks if new lamp was put in choose yes or no (tried both) and instantly red lamp light came on (this is a new lamp). So frustrated. Don't know what to do now, perhaps a large garbage can is the only solution to this mitsubishi piece of crap.
Anyone have any other ideas,,,,,,,,the green light does stop blinking but when we power up the tv it lights for a few seconds then goes to red lamp light. The tv shows a 12 (which means no error codes) when we run the check.
wd-52525 replaced caps still same thing-gl flashes for 1 min goes off then no
buttons do anything-and when flashing the light fan is not on-any ideas

I bought all my caps from Digikey (http://www.digikey.com). I would recommend changing all the 1000uF caps out too.. this is what I ordered
12 493-1588-ND 0.51800 $6.22
2 493-1798-ND 1.09000 $2.18
BTW, These have proven to work in my TV. :)
if mouser is out of stock good caps to use.
