That is great news. We just ordered the two 3300 uf capacitors from Mouser and are waiting for them to arrive and hopefully we will be celebrating like you.
Which capacitor part numbers did you get from Mouser? I can't seem to figure out what the right ones are. 3300uf 50V and 1000uf 16v 105c, but which type are correct?
16V 1000 uf usually related to continuous blinking green light
10V 3300 uf usually related to red lamp indicator when the lamp is really good.
I bought mine from Digi-Key. I went with Panasonic as I think they are rated for more hrs than some of the others.
1000 uf part # P13119-ND $ 0.56 ea(Didn't use for my red lamp light as they were still ok)I've been told these may be slightly taller than originals so make sure you solder them close board as to not create any clearance issues.
3300 uf part # P12117-ND $ 0.96 ea(replaced both & fixed my red lamp light issue)
Hello Larry,
I have the same timer blinking light problem on WD-52525.
Can you please send me the reference material to replace caps on FMT and DM boards?
My email is [email protected].
Thank you,

Larry,
It appears to be a common issue. I'd like to join the request for assistance with the rapid green light blinking. We had a storm the other night with a power surge and ever since it will not turn on. We have done the reset, unplugged it...nothing helps. Can you let me in on the information you have shared with all the others?
Hi Larry, would appreciate your help with my wd 52525 with blinking orange light. The code indicates lamp abnormality, but have not idea what that really means. Any help you can provide to fix this problem is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Hi Larry, can you help with blinking lamp indicator on a WD 52525? Indicator is not green, but orange; however I don't think it really matters.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
We are attempting to replace our bulb for the WD 52525 and are having a hard time even getting to the bulb housing unit. Removed the entire back panel...still no luck. We can't seem to find our user manual or any online instructions to help us with a walkthrough. Could I please get a copy of the service manual, board repair, and any instructions emailed to me? Thank you so much

*EDIT* - Please read the next post for our update :)
We apparently tried the hard way to remove the housing through the rear of the TV. OOPS. I found the manual and replaced the bulb through the front of the unit like we originally should have.
I buttoned everything back up and now when we turn the unit on, the orange LAMP light, on the front of the set just flashes at me and nothing else happens. The power isn't turning on or anything, just silence and the orange flashing light..
Anyone here have some ideas?
Please email with any updates or guidance.
thank you.

Just wanted to say thanks to Larry again. HE helped me successfully change the caps on my DV board. Hopefully I won't have that problem again -- to anyone in the Chicago area who has tried everything to resolve their blinking light issue and still doesn't know what to do, we stumbled upon a really excellent technician for an a local area chain who does repairs. He was very reasonable -- one set fee for labor and repair -- no initial cost for showing up -- he charged us a flat $225 for all repairs and parts up front -- also is giving us a 3 month warranty -- I am happy to say that I now no longer have to worry about replacing the TV and it is clear as day. Turns a couple of the switches on one of the main boards had gone bad. Evidently a fairly common problem but I would have never found that. Anyway, if you are in Chicago, Louis does do the repairs on the side and is very good. He had my TV repaired in an hour -- please contact him at 678.464.7884 -- I originally found him on Craig's list -- he was able to fit me in 3 days after calling him. Good luck to the rest of you folks trying to get your Mitsubishi's running again.
Have a WD52525 TV giving me the error 34 code. It starts the lamp a couple times, fades off then turns on the red lamp indicator. I've tried more than one new lamp, replaced the usual caps in the p/s and hard to get into DM board (even though they did not look bad) - still no go. Does this mean the light engine (or at least the DMD board on the light engine is at fault?
This can also be caused by the four filter caps on the FMT bd. (1000uf/16v). Unplug connector FC, on the FMT and apply AC pwr. If the LED stops chances are that is the problem. These 52525 models can be a real bugger to fix. Sometimes multiple problems.
Hi, A friend gave me a Mitsubishi WS-55513. It was working fine at his house. We moved it in a pickup and the ground was rough that we rolled (as carefully as we could) into my house. Plugged it in and have had a fast blinking timer light all afternoon. Tried the reset several times and unplugging it several times - to no avail. Suggestions? BTW - I'm a retired journeyman plumber if you ever have plumbing?s.
Thanks, Hill
Thx Larry for the response.
This set is giving me a challenge. When they are so close to working yet have some little problem, I hate to give up. Replaced the Caps on the FMT board, no help. None of the caps in this unit showed any signs of failure. Only thing left is the DMD board in the light engine I guess.
Larry,
I also have the blinking light problem - would you please send the repair information... Thanks! [email protected]
Repair History:WD-52525
No problems until a few weeks ago when the set stopped working and started the green blink of death. The local repair shop looked at the TV and estimated $1K to fix it - not worth the investment. Mitsubishi offered to cover 35% of the repair cost after I sent a letter describing the problem. I've replace all of the 100uf caps (the rest look fine) and now wonder if I need to replace the optical light engine... I would appreciate any suggestions.
Hey I have the blinking green light timer problem. Tried resetting but doesn't work. Will you help me fix the problem? Thanks. Just email the docs to my email located at the bottom. Thanks

I have the green timer light blinking problem with my WD 52525. The cost to repair estimated by Sears is $900. After I opened the back panel, I can not tell where to start. Would you kindly email me a soft copy of the repair instruction document?
For those who have a Mitsubishi WD 52525 DLP TV that has no picture, after replacement of the bulb, ( even multiple times) and even gets the blinking green or steady red light, it's time to all come together a start/join a class action law suit. With a possible common issue about capacitors, could it be a design defect ?
I came across a law firm in California who may help us all with a class action law suit against Mitsubishi.
I was tired of buying 3 bulbs in 4 years and replacing the DM Module engine, only to have another issue of no picture re-occur.
Not sure if there is a case here, but please contact Harry at the Mills Law Firm, since I believe there are enough of you having the same issue, that never should have happened.
I read it takes about 50+ people with similar claims to get something started,( so please be one of the 50)

I found this thread via a Google search for Mitsubishi troubleshooting, and am very impressed to find someone out there who helps others to deal with their TV issues.
We own a Mitsubishi WD 52525 for the last two-three years without any prior problems other than occasional shut-off, but last week it suddenly switched off while we were watching and the blinking red status light came on. I cleaned the filters and pressed the "reset" button, and the TV worked fine for about 1-2 hours. Unfortunately, the TV has now begun to keep switching off after it is turned on - it will work for anywhere between a few seconds to a couple of minutes, then switch off with the blinking green light display. We have tried to reset a second time, and now get the green blinking light continuously without stopping. Usually, while on the TV is non-responsive to the remote, although a couple of times it responded to the remote as well.
I understand from this thread that the problem may be the DM capacitors plus perhaps caps on other boards. I am not tech savvy, but hopefully my boyfriend can help fix this issue. Could you please send a copy of your manual to [email protected]?
Thanks very much in advance for your assistance; we appreciate your help!

Here is the information from the invoice. We ordered 4, just in case.
4 647-UHE1A332MHD 4 0.750 3.00
Nichicon Low Impedan
10V 3300uF 12.5X25
The shipping is the most expensive part of the order; however the whole bill was only $10 and if this works then we may have saved a ton on repairs.
16V 1000 uf usually related to continuous blinking green light
10V 3300 uf usually related to red lamp indicator when the lamp is really good.

We purchased our replacement bulb from this site:

(although the housing unit didn't look anything like the one in the video on that site! Ours had a paper surround?)
I buttoned everything back up and now when we turn the unit on, the orange LAMP light, on the front of the set just flashes at me and nothing else happens. The power isn't turning on or anything, just silence and the orange flashing light..
