I too have a Mitsubishi 55613 with the dreaded green blinking light of death;-( I see that you seem to have a solution that works more often than not. I like to consider myself a do it yourselfer, so I want to give your solution a shot, if you could send the instructions to me ([email protected]) I would greatly appreciate it. I'll let you know how it goes.
holchar said: We've had the same problem with our WS-55613, but we don't have the extra cash to pay to get it fixed, so we would greatly appreciate any help you could send our way!!!! Thanks!! [email protected]
This is my second attempt to get some help with our WS-55613. Does anyone else have any info??
Hi, We have a WS-65712 with this problem. The remote does nothing and the set will only turn on or sometimes off with front button on the set. No other buttons work on the set. Its tuned to a cable station and has picture with the volume up high. The Device Selection menu cycles through all the devices but does not stop. Both the Video and Audio Section menus are also on the screen. Have tried the front reset button and unplugging power overnight with no success. Also tried new batteries in the remote and taking out the battries in case the remote was sending a signal.
holchar, I did send out that info to you. Did you check your bulk mail as well as the trash mail? I will be sending it out again to you. Good Luck with the repair.
Hi Larry, Thanks for the reply. Any ideas on what I could try? Besides the reset button on the front is there a way to reset the "software" back to a factory default?
We have a Mits WS-55613, and it just turned off and never came back on. I guess it could be a number of things. Anything you could suggest? My email is [email protected]. Thanks,
TASHA034, wow yea it could be a lot of different things. Does the green light come on when you plug the TV set into the wall? Does the green light stop flashing at any point?
Wow, so you can really find just about anything on the internet. I wish I was surprised to find a chat dedicated to this problem, but I guess that's customer service now a days. I would email this link to the customer service site, but they probably would just laugh.
I have the same "dreaded green blinking light of death" on my not quite 4 year old WE-55613. I called Mitsubishi and they said it had an internal problem needing service, but there are no service companies that service Mitsubishi in my area. (How funny they don't tell you that when they sell you the TV!!) If there are some magic tricks we can try before totally giving up and shelling out thousands (again) I'd sure appreciate it. My husband would especially appreciate not having to move the TV downstairs again. After the ordeal to get it up the stairs he swore we'd give it away if we ever sold the house. Thanks, L.
Larry, if you could send me repair documents on a 4 year old Mitsubishi WD 52825? Are the documents you send applicable to the television i have? Thank you for your time.
Hey Larry I did the repair on my ws-55613 on 2/07/2008 it worked perfect and the set fired right up. Today 2/14/2008 the light is blinking for 60 seconds and then the TV turns on. How long has this repair lasted and has anyone received anything from Mitsubishi for there troubles? thanks
"remus, I have sent you these documents at least three times. Maybe they are going into your bulk or junk mail?"
Larry, yes i have been checking the junk email. i didn't find anything either way. its probably hotmail's fault. i'm sorry for the inconvenience and frustration. this email will work: [email protected]
i apologize again, thanks for your patience, Remus
I posted a request in another thread. I have since replaced the capacitors and I still get that damn blinking light. So as I continued to read through this post I found that it could be a fuse problem. I tested them and found the f9b00 and f9b02 fuses were bad. My question is, how would you recommend replacing these? I read in another thread the user "piggy-backed" the fuses on top of each other and it seemed to work fine. Would you suggest this or do you have a better way? I requested your fix instructions on another post, can you please send them to [email protected]
One more question, do you know where the best place to get replacement fuses?
6 x2.5x2MM surface mount fast 4 amp fuse. You will need to have a steady hand when replaceing these fuses. There is a good possibility that when you piggyback these fuses, they can short out against the case. Take out the bad ones and solder in place the new ones.

What capacitors did you use? Is the set on power saver? Look in the instruction booklete and see if it is. I have seen this power saver cause this problem.
Thank you for your response. I am looking forward to getting this darn thing fixed. I havent gotten the repair manual as of yet and wasnt sure if you had sent it or not. If for some reason [email protected] does not work you can send it to [email protected]
Larry I used the Radio shack caps and it is on power save. When I turn it on it blinks for 60 seconds and then will turn on or blink slow and the when I push power again it turns on What do you think?
brentutah, What is it your asking? Yes your TV set us on the power save mode. You should though get the right capacitors and replace them with the high temp types from the source I recommended before they burn out your DM board.

As it says in the repair directions, the fuses are 4 amp surface mounted fuses. They can be purchaced from http://www.kenselectronics.com/lists/fuses.htm part number FLF451004
