I recently bought this device but i cannot seem to be able to get any sound from all of the speakers when i want to watch my cable channels. The surround sound from all the speakers only work when I play a dvd or a cd music disc. What can I do to get the surround sound from all my speakers when watching cable?

CD player stopped working

I have a Sony MHC-GX450, all of sudden the CD player does not read any of the disks. How do I trouble shoot CD player? Any suggestions

jvc compact system

The other day while cleaning an aquarium, I believe I inadvertently sprayed the back of my garage stereo! It is a JVC MX-GB5. The next time I desired music out there the display came on as usual and then it displayed the word "Protect" and shut down! I have tried removing the case and applying a hair dryer and blowing with air but actually found no moisture. Still does same thing. while case was removed I found 6 fuses but all were good. Any suggestions? Of course the 1 year warranty is expired-Not that it would have helped anyway. HELP!!

Setting up a Denon AVR-1705 and Bose Acoustimass 4

I just purchased a Denon AVR-1705 to replace a much older Sony system. I connected the unit to my existing Bose Acoustimass 4 speaker system. (4 speakers, left cube, right cube, center cube and Bose non-powered subwoofer.) I'm running the system with all the factory set defaults in my (small) living room and frankly it sounds terrible. I've tried tuning it to tell the system I have small left and right speakers and to set the distance from my speakers, but it still ends up sounding thin and cheap. There is no bass, and my boombox sounds better than this system right now.

DVD/CD Changer won't spin the carosel

I have an Onkyo DVD-CP500 5-Disc DVD changer that I have been having problems with for a while. I turn on the changer and open the carosel; when it is working properly the carosel spins around immediately. About two thirds of the time that happens, but often it doesn't (as if the motor inside is stuck). If I manually turn it about 3/4 of a turn, the carosel works fine again. Sometimes it stops turning the carosel while it is in.

Right Side is crackling

I have a pioneer vsx453 receiver, it is hooked up to 7 speakers. Worked great for years but now developed crackling sound on the right side, only A and B speaker, no crackling in right rear. Switched speaker plugs from right to left, crackling moved with it so I know the speakers are not responsible. Thank you for any help you may offer.
