Curse of the blinking timer light strikes again! I have a WD-62525 that I bought in August 2004. True to form, the TV will not turn on now and I get teh steady blinking light. I suppose I am lucky in that I made it 4 years, not the typical 3. I was hoping you could email me the repair instructions for the WD-52525 at [email protected]
Sincere gratitude for your generosity and this site that is without a doubt an great example of people helping people.
Red lamp indicator was on and TV wouldn't come on. Ordered and installed new lamp.
Plugged back in and green inicator lamp flashed for a about a minute and stopped
turned TV on & there was click and fan noise. Then the lamp came on for about 9 secs, 2 mins later the red lamp indicator light came back on. At no time during the process did I get pix or sound.
The error code flashed 34 when held in the device menu buttons
Any advice? Can you please send me the "fix it" docs if you think they apply? [email protected].
This sucks as the UK vs UL football game is on at 3:30 today.
I just found this site after a google search....I have a Mitsubishi WD-52725 that has a fast blinking green light. In the past I could unplug the set or push the rest button and get it to work again, but now, no matter what I try the light continues to blink when the set is plugged in or after the reset button in pushed.
Mr Dillon, would you please send the repair instructions to me via email at [email protected]. Thanks in advance! I have no way to repay you for your efforts other than a simple thanks.
Gene65 said: Larry and others withis issue, Thanks again for the documents they are GREAT!! However, I have one issue right now.I replaced 12 caps and am putting everything back together. I just got to step 15 of your document I believe in reverse order, my issue that connector PF with the ferrite bead on the wire harness is a 3 pin connector while its mate on the DM board is a 4 pin connector, at least on mine it is. The issue now is that the connector can either start in Pin 1 and fit or Pin 2 and fit. I would call the red wire pin 1 in the harness which is closest to the ground. The connector can not be flipped as it is keyed. The issue is where the red wire starts, pin1 or pin2.Any help would be appreciated!
is there any way any one can send me the same document at [email protected] thank you
I have model WS-55813. I also have the blinking reset light and have tried everything. Can somebody send me the instructions on how to fix this problem so i can get my TV working again. Thanks in advance!!!! [email protected]
i have ws65513 with blinking green light ned info on fix thanks. [email protected]
I've read a lot of these posts since my WD-52525 went down. I've replaced the lamp and still have an issue with the red light being on. A tech told me some capacitors are bad on several boards and gave me an estimate of a minimum of $750 to fix!!! I've had some experience with soldering and with capacitors. Can someone (like the esteemed guru, Larry) send me the info on replacing them? I bought my Mits second-hand two months ago and sure don't want to give up on it yet. My e-mail is [email protected].
Last night my husband repaced all 4 capacitors on our WD 52525, changed the lamp just to be sure and still the red lamp light comes on once the blinking green stops and is continuous. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I have a dead Mitsu WD-52525. When I turn on the TV the indicator blinks green until the light comes on then off and the indicator light goes red. I have already replace the bulb and have talked to a local repair shop whom agree it is probably a caps problem. Could someone send me any manual, schematics, or other info to assist me in repairing my 52525. Please send to [email protected] Thanks!

I'm told the 3300 uf caps are usually more associated red lamp light. But here is a trouble shooting method going around for this problem too that addresses other issues.
1.Unit powers on and works properly for a while then shuts off with a red lamp LED (lamp error). Suspect bad lamp part # 915P020010
2. Lamp enable line at J14 pin 6 does not switch to 5 volts after turn on, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. Suspect the Light Engine part # 939P977010 3. At power on the lamp turns on and off three times and then the unit shuts down with a red lamp LED (lamp error). Replace the Light Engine part # 939P977010 4. Check for 12-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 4 on the Engine Driver PCB, if missing check for an open F9A09 on the Power PCB, if it is open replace F9A09 part # 283P127060 and the Light Engine part # 939P977010 5. Lamp enable line at connector J14 pin 6 on the Engine Driver PCB switches to 5 volts after turn on but does not go back to 0-volts (low) after 5 seconds, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. Suspect the Light Engine part # 939P977010 6. Check for 5-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 1 and 2 on the Engine Driver PCB if missing replace the Power PCB part # 934C148001. Hope this helps!
MY TV MITSUBISHI WD-52525 WHEN I PLUG IT IN G LIGHT FLASHES FOR ABOUGHT 1 M THEN I PUSH POWER- NOUTHING, PUSH RESET G LIGHT FLASHES CONTINUALY. REPLACED POWER BOARD 930B921002
AND 4 CAPS ON DM BOARD,STILL THE SAME,THANKS.

My Mitsubishi WD-52525 has the same problem as others. I replaced the lamp and now the lamp turns on for a few seconds then turns off. Could someone please send me the documents for changing the capacitors. My email is [email protected] Thank you!
Same problem as the others on my WD 52725. How in the heck do you get the boards out??? I removed the back of the tv and now.......Please help. An email with directions and schematics would be great.
I have replaced caps in my WD 52725 but still have the blinking LED.
Can someone tell me if they measure 3.3V and 5V on the power supply board at the test points with the set plugged in? Test points are in upper right corner near the connector labeled PA.
I don't think Larry is around anymore. I have posted and posted asking for an email with the paper work to fix my TV and to this day haven't received anything from anybody. Has anybody received anything????? :(
I am in the same boat. I emailed last week and still no response. I finally gave in and had a local repair team have a crack at it. Ironically, they knew all about the infamous capacitors on the DM board. $750 repair bill and I got the unit up and running. I told them to hold onto it for more than a day as I wanted to be sure that all was well and that there was not a heat related issue that would re-occur. They said not to worry and delivered the unit. I turned it on and let it run for about 6 hours, just walking by to see it it was still running every so often. All was good and I turned it off for the night. In the morning, would you beleive the infamous blinking light was back. Repair shop very embarrassed and jumping through hoops to apologize. The unit is back in their hands. Once diagnosed, I will do my best to keep everyone updated.
I've gotten a lot of help herehttp://www.fixya.com/, my WD-52525 is well and running again, they do not have the manual but lots of help, good luck to all.

I had the same problem, go to www.fixya.com and they offered me a lot fo help, they do not have the manual but lots of advice and my TV is back up and running. Google your issue and google service manual for your tv and you will probably get it all. I got it all running for under 56$ in comparison to the $600.00 to $750.00 estimate I was getting from repair shops for taking out the board and replacing two $5.00 each capacitors, geez! Good luck!

By the way I went here http:// servicemanuals.vstore.ca and bought their repair kit (v26 DLP power PWB repair kit) which comes with a manual and a bag full of capacitors to replace any that are bad on your board. I bought the soldering tool needed for it at radio shack for $20.00 as a kit so like I said before $36.00 for the repair kit and $20.00 for the soldering kit, I got it all done for much less. Good luck! If that works for you please pass on the information, I am doing the same I know what it's like to have that problem and be in need of answers and help. Good luck!

Go to http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca and search your product the kit cost around((depending on your tv)) $36.00 and it comes with the manual, online help, and a bag full of capacitors for you to replace the bad ones on your board. The soldering tool can be bought at Radio Shack as a kit for $20.00 and with lots of patience you can get it all done for $56.00, Good luck

Does anyone know how to remove the power board and the dm board on this tv? WD-52525. Do you have to remove the top part of the TV? If anyone out here could please send me some instructions that would be awesome. I cant seem to figure out how to get the boards out of this tv for the life of me.

I had the same problem, go to http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca and they have the kit which includes the service manual, and a bag full of capacitors you will need to replace the bad ones, they offer online help and you should search for V26 DLP POWER PWB REPAIR KIT ,but you can get help online as well so they can guide and troubleshoot with you to make sure you get what you need. The tool I bought for soldering and unsoldering cost me $20.00 at radio shack as a kit. Good luck!

Hi Larry:
I hope you are doing well as I have been reading the many posts regarding your personal life. I have also been reading the great information that you have posted regarding the many issues of the Mistubishi WD-52525. Before I tackle on my issue some quick questions that may only need quick answers:
1. My current issue is that the 52525 can still power on but all I get is green screen with blobs, then it may turn to static. But I can still see the menu but it can fade due to the static. Should I be replacing the DLP lamp at this point since I have yet to do so in the 3 - 4 years since I had the TV?
2. After replacing the lamp, should I expect that the "Blinking Green Light of Death" occur after replacing the lamp?
3. If so for #2, can you please send me your document on how to fix this issue by changing the capacitors?
4. Please give me any other information or advice before I start this project of fixing this Mitsubishi 52525.
Email: [email protected]
Go to http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca and search your TV and you will probably have to buy the same kit I did, which came with a service manual and a bag full of capacitors which will be needed once you take the board out and replace the bad ones. I too had the blinking lights, bought a new lap, but got the same problem again, so that is when I bought this kit followed the step and replaced two capacitors. My Tv is well and running again. Good luck!

Hi Larry:
Please help! I have a Mitsubishi WD-62525 and the bulb was replaced; however, I am now getting a green blinking light that eventually turns red and the tv is without sound or video.
Go to http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca and buy the MITSUBISHI V26 DLP POWER PWB REPAIR KIT that worked for me, plus the soldering tool I bought at Radio Shack for soldering, good luck!
Thanks to those that supported my efforts to fix my WD-52525 which had the red lamp indicator although the lamp was good. Got an error code 34 for thiswhich is "lamp abnormality". Mitsubishi assured me that it was NOT the capacitors.
The green light would blink for a bout 1 min(which it's suppose to) and then lamp would light for about 8-10 secs and then go out(opened the door & overrode the switch to see this) and then after roughly 2 mins the red lamp indicator would come on and TV would shut down. reset/unplug didn't have any affect. At no time did I get sound or pix on screen.
Replaced the two 3300 uf capacitors which were raised on the top with slight crack & somehow got it all back together, fired it up and it's working.(knock on wood).
Larry, I was hoping you could also email me the repair instructions for the WD-52525 at [email protected]. Much appreciated.
Thanks,
Niko
