Could you forward the instructions to me as well. I had the same flashing status light problem on my WD-62725. I paid a tech to come out and he replaced several caps on the Format Board one other board and power supply and I have the same problem still. The problem actually seems to be worse as the TV shuts off after 5 or 10 mins now instead of the 90 mins or so like it did before. He came today and did a reset from the menu (like that was going to do anything) and told me to call him if that didn't work, well 10 mins after he left it dies again and I called to let him know. He said that he would call Mits in the morning to see what they needed to get this fixed and he was going to charge me another 150 on top of the 650 I have already paid to get the boards fixed. He said that he would give me my money back if it didn't get fixed which is fine, but I just want my TV fixed as my wife will not let me buy the Plasma that I want.
Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated as I don't think this tech knows where to go from here.
Larry, WD52725 DLP set, other than replacement of the main caps on the DM board, which did not do the trick on my old board, is there any other repair to that board that you can think of? I did receive the data you sent, and I appreciate that, but would like to try and fix the old board, if possible, to have a spare on hand.
No there are bad Ic's on the DM if you replaced the capacitors and it did not do the trick. If the picture goes to a checker board pattern, there are bad capacitors on the FMT board, and there are two 3300 MFD caps on the power board that goes bad all the time along with a couple of smaller 1000MFD caps as well.
Bad IC's on the DM????? The tech replaced several Caps on the FMT Board DM Board and on the Power Supply. I am wondering if he missed some as I didn't pay attention to which ones he replaced.
He has given up now and his story isn't syncing up so I have just asked for my money back and will try and either fix it myself or try and get someone else to fix it.
Larry, The link you sent me in my email was for 3300uf 16volt. I need the link for 3300uf 10volt on pwd board. what we tried to order is on back order until late july. I am guessing the size is 12.5mm x 25mm? Do you know if that is correct or where else I could purchase capcitors? The 2 uf's listed above are the only ones that look bad on my boards. I have recieved the smaller caps but have not replaced them yet. waiting on the 3300 caps. Thanks again!

I have a WD 52525 Mitsubishi DLP, I am having the blinking timer light problem.
My tv will not turn on.
Do you have instructions for this model?
If not any suggestions?

Hoping you can send over the manual as well. My email address is [email protected].
Also wondering if you might have any advice.
I have a Mitsubishi 62525 here that when turned on showed the blue screen + discolored middle area. It was unable to accept any video/audio inputs.
Based on advice while googling around, we opened up the back and were able to take out the chassis. We found on the power board (am assuming this is the power since that's where the power line goes into), the two 3300uF capacitors were raised/bad, so we replaced that. Also saw on the DM board 3 out of the 4 1000uF capacitors were raised, so we replaced all 4.
Upon reassembly however, we were unable to get picture. :( When first plugged in, I do see the normal timer light flashing green which them stops. After hitting the power button tho, no picture. Almost as if we may have missed plugging something back in its proper spot (am pretty sure things are in, but never know....)
Will be running out tomorrow to grab a capacitor tester. Also, hoping the service manual may point to where the fuses are located at. Other than those tho, do you have any advice on how to proceed next?
Will double check on the ribbon cables. (There were 2 at the bottom of the chassis - colored orange + blue - that we took out/placed back in multiple times.) There were 3 blue-colored on the back of the boards that we didn't touch but now that you mention it, will take out + re-insert back in just to be sure things didn't get shifted.
We did confirm (a few times) the capacitors were in the right way after we got the no picture problem.
Lastly, when hitting the power button, I don't believe we saw the bulb light at all. (nothing on the screen flashed if that's what you're asking). The fans do spin up tho. Also, no additional error lights appeared (nothing on the lamp or status leds) - just the normal steady green next to the Timer/Power.
BTW, the unit is sitting at my brother in law's house, so will try re-inserting the 3 blue ribbon cables tomorrow.
No prob. I have fixed a few of these big fellas myself, and have seen some odd problems with them. You can tell if the bulb is starting if you have the back off and interlock jimmied. It will show a glow on bottom of the case through the fan.
Looks like I've got a few things to keep me busy. Will respond back after I've had a chance to check up on a few items. (Going to be out the next few days, but will have my brother in law to continue this if he's working on the unit).
I am having the same problem as most others on this thread, no pic and sound and lamp light is solid red. Would you mind sending me the repair docs and manuals for the Mitsu 62525 as well. My email address is [email protected]
Is this a service manual for Mitsu DLPs? I have a dark shadow upper left of a 62827 DLP, and would like to adjust keystone/pyramid/etc. but it isn't as easy as on my 52725. If the service manual covers the 62827 - I'd be very greatful if you could forward a copy, along with any troubleshooting guides you think might come in handy -
Fred there are no troubleshooting guides, Those are all written by myself as well as a few great tech that assist me here. I do not have that service manual. so I would not have a clue what your problem could be?
I have a WD-Y57 and when I plug it in I get the flashing green light and then it goes to a flashing yellow indicating that the lamp door is open, but it is not. I have put in 3 different 915P049010 lamps and the indicator light flases on all three. Other than hearing the power click when I plug it in, there is no other sounds or picture.
If anyone else has had this problem and might possibly have a solution, please post it or email me at [email protected]
I have a 62525 and you were gracious enough to help out with the green blinking light problem that had the capacitor fix. I'm just getting back around now to try and fix it for good. It worked for 2 days great, just checking back if you've ever heard of what it is doing now:
When powered on the green light flashes and goes out normally, after initial green light goes out the status light immediately blinks Red in a 1-sort of fast, 1 - long patern.
If I reset the TV it will go immediately into the fast green blinking light.
But when powered down will do the normal green blinking then go to the red status light blinking
The Error code is 44, I opened it back up to check the DVI cable but it was tight on both ends. I rechecked the capacitors I changed out and they looked good.
Like I said though, it worked great for 2 days after changing the capicitors then just went to the red blinking status. Any hints are much appreciated. Just hoping I didn't screw the pooch on anything I did :)

Thanks Larry - (had to take a shot).
I'll post any findings as I continue the investigation. My picture is a little tilted, so I just have to find the adjustment screws and check for obstructions.
I have a 62525 and have had it for 2 years. About 3 months ago, our screen said "replace bulb soon". Then about a week later, it went out. We replaced the bulb and it worked for 3 months, the sign came on again and said "replace bulb soon". One week later, we went to turn the tv on and the timer light is blinking green, it sounds as if a fan is running, and it wont turn on. We tried the reset button, it takes the green light away for a second then green light returns...no screen. Does this sound like the capacitor also? Would you please send me the repair docs and manuals also? I would greatly appreciate it.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Thanks!!!

Larry, I have a WD-Y57 and it's only 18 months old and I still owe money on it. The picture went out without any warning and after rebooting it finally goes to a blinking yellow light, but I know for sure that the light door is not open. I get no fan, picture or sound. I think the WD-Y57 is the same as the WD-57732. Could you please send me the repair docs and manuals also? I would greatly appreciate it. I think the WD-Y57 uses the same manual as the WD-57732.
Finally figured it out!!! Read somewhere to plug in power chord, hold power button in for 5 seconds and then remove the power chord and wait at least 3 minutes. Then plug in power chord again. The light blinked green and then went out showing no errors and TV booted up fine. I guess the boot cycle was stuck in some sequence showing the blinking yellow light indicating that the lamp door was open.
Hope this helps someone else that might have this problem!
Good Luck!

hychiang, make sure the wide ribbon cables got back in good. There are a number of those that are easy to get out of place just a hair.
I'm sure you did, but may want to recheck. You can run the set with the chassis all splayed apart till you get it running good again.
One other thing, just as a check since it sort of worked before - make sure you got the caps in right and not backwards. Easy to do in a hurry.
When you hit the starter button, does the bulb light at all, or at least try to? Fans spin up?
Will double check on the ribbon cables. (There were 2 at the bottom of the chassis - colored orange + blue - that we took out/placed back in multiple times.)
