Larry Dillon said: If you are handy, and can solder, you may be able to save about 700 bucks if not more. There is a very common problem with these Mitsubishi TV sets. There is a digital board inside these puppies called the DM board. A lot of times there are four capacitors that go bad inside of these TV sets. Sometimes, depending on how bad the capacitors are, and if the capacitors did not blow out anything else on the Dm board, you can simply replace these four capacitors and this will fix your TV set. The average that this works on is about 65 to 70 % of the sets can be repaired with this fix. The others are power supply issues or the DM board has other issues. If you would like to attempt to repair your TV set, I will send you the instructions on how to do so. If you do not know how to solder well, do not attempt to replace the capacitors yourself. Pay a pro to do this for you. After all you are already saving a bundle of cash. Leave an e-mail address, and I will forward you the fix with and without the light engine. And if the capacitors inside the board are not swollen on the tops, as the direction shows you what they look like, change the capcitors anyway. I have had a few that looked good but the capacitors were on their way out. Good Luck
I have the same problem, please send the directions so I can test my repair skills, [email protected].
I see you've help many with the flashing green light issue. I have a WS73713 that developed the problem after a move. Please send the insrtrucions to [email protected] thanks.
Well I hope you know what ones are bad and that these fuse DO not blow for no reason. EXACTLY what fuses are bad, and I can tell you most likely what is bad. If you replace them without finding out why or without replacing the parts involved, YOU WILL cause more problems.
Larry I have the same problem could you please send me photos and information for repairing the blinking green light problem Jan Smith [email protected]
Like I said, The convergence IC's, Both of them, the STK type IC's. If you do not know what these are I suggest you call in a pro to assist you in this repair.

Thanks Larry,
I've read many of the other posts concerning this issue. It appears it occurs over time as the caps overheat. My set quit directly after a move. After being "bumped" a few times it went to the flashing green light. Given this information, is there anything else I shoulf be on the lookout for?
The manual you sent says this set weighs over 400lbs and I hope to never have to move it again.
Nope, just make sure that after you replace the capacitors in the DM, install the DM back into the TV set without the cover around it just to make sure that you are making it into the connectors on the main board correctly, then install the case back onto the DM, then plug in the tV and wait about a minute or so untill the light stops flashing.

Thanks Larry and hello all:
I ordered the CAPS yeseterday and took the back off the TV this morning. First thing I noticed is a lose wire with a bare female blade connector resting on the main board to the right of the DM housing. The wire is green and lime green. The other end is connected to the left side of the circuit board directly beneath the CRT furthest to the left looking in from the back. I'm pretty sure it's not suppose to be resting of the board but I can't find a male blade connecter in its length range. Anyone know where this wire goes?
Where do you want it sent to? You left no e-mail address man.
sorry if I did not leave one its [email protected]

Replace the convergence IC's. They are bad. F9A04 and F9A05 are for the plus and minus convergence voltages.
do you know any good places to get the parts at
do you have a web sitefor thes parts

Any chance to get some email information on how do repair these capacitors? Its a WS-48513 with the blinking green light?

That is a CRT ground that someone forgot to reconnect, look at the other CRT boards and see if you can see where those other ones plug into.
