Fred, there are three different fixes for many different models. I need more information then WS-65XXX. That could cover about 100 different models. And I am not about to send 100 different manuals to you.

Hello Larry,
I noticed this morning that my t.v. had the same "green light" problem. Can you please email me the instructions? My email is [email protected] Thank you. Should I call Mitsubishi or is this a normal?
No I am afraid this problem is not normal but thousands of mitsubishi owners are having this problem. Mitsubishi does not seem to care about it also. I will send you the repair info and if you can do it or know someone who can do the repair, you can save about 1000 bucks. Good luck
After getting your directions on the how to fix, I decided to call Mitsubishi & tell them about the wide spread problem with their TV's. Mine is a 73" & four years old with out an extended warranty. I was very polite & expressed my loyality to their product & that this should not be happening to every one as if it were a time bomb. They refered me to a local authorized repair facility & told me to get a diagonis & send them my purchase agreement along with the estimate for consideration of out of warranty help. I paid $70.00 for the diagnosis which would be applied towards the repair if Mitsubishi didn't honor it. Long story short, I was able to get Mitsubishi to repair the DM board by the local repair people that came out & was allowed $200 towards the labor. Bottom line, I was totally out of pocket $200. The authorized repair firm charged $400 labor, in which Mitsubishi picked up $200 of, plus parts. I know I could have fixed it for less, but didn't want to take the chance of screwing up the board with my beginer soudering skills. Mitsubishi service department # 1-800-332-2119 give it a try for those who might be so inclind not to take on this repair.

Larry Dillon said: That is not white paste oozzing out. I get this a lot. That is white rubber silicon the factory used to hold the capacitors in place and for shipping purposes. you will notice that on a lot of the capacitors in the TV set.
ok larry, i checked it out. it is adhesive to hold caps on place. it is a WS-65517 (marked in several locations) , U.S. model, made in june of 2005. green blinking light. can you offer any assistance ??? hoping this is a cap problem as so many others seem to be.
Evit, are you sure you installed the capacitors correctly into the board. There is a plus and a minus side to the caps and the board. Also, there may be a plug out of the connector part way on the DM or the other side of the wires that connect to the DM. Ron D. I do not know that model man.

The white thing is not making the clicking noise. It is the relay right next to it. The negitive of the capacitors is the black line with the - on it. The unmarked side is the positive.
