Can I also get a copy of the service manual please at [email protected]? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
I have the WD-62 DLP and just replaced the bulb, now the tv starts up and I get a picture of good quality for about 1 min, then red lamp light comes on and tv dies. I reset and then rand diagnostics, nothing... code 12 which is good I thought, then I power on and get picture and then red light after less than a minute, ran code there and got a 34 which I think is a bulb abnormality. Any ideas what that could be? I am crushed, I don't have many nice things and saved to buy this darn tv for 2 years. Now I get it and within a year the bulb goes and then this... Arg.
I am now getting a 34 error which I guess means a bad board or something. I am guessing something wrong with the borad most folks here have discussed is the same thing I am having and that may be what caused the old bulb to blow out. I guess sometimes we win and sometimes we loose. If anyone happens to have that service manual handy in an electronic version I sure would like to take a look at what could be wrong on the board. I have zero tv knowledge but can sodder and read a blueprint pretty well so I am hopeful I can figure out something. Hey what is the worst I can do break it :)
How much would you be willing to sell the bulb for Nydialeaf? You can mail me at [email protected] if you would like to discuss. Thanks in advance.
Good Morning, I have a brand new (11 Days since receipt) Mitsubishi wd57734 with a rapid blinking green light. We have powered the machine on since new approx 4 times, had turned it off Friday then back on mistakenly via the power switch on the surge supressor (Monster 1000) and then green light began blinking rapidly. Hit the "reset", unplugged from the strip and directly into the wall = no change. Let sit over night and tried again = no change. Contacted service provider, learned of the "menu/input" error code retrieval and as stated above it flashes in sequences of 3 The service provider stated they would have to come out and diagnose as there is apparently no 3-3 code they are able to find. Should I be nervous? Should this be an easy fix? Looking at these posts with similiar issues, I'm feeling I may have made an error in purchasing this television. I appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks, J-
Larry, Would you happen to know what the 3-3(rapidly blinking green light within the timer lens) etc code represents in terms of issue with the television?
I know what it is. Has anybody been messing around with the filter recently? Have you tried to unplug the TV set for several minutes or do A reset on the TV set?
Yes I did. We also attempted the reset several times please see earlier post from this morning. TV was unplugged overnight as well, retried with same rapid blinking light. Where is the filter located. Can I fix quickly without voiding warr? The TV had been powered on and off twice quickly accidentally then this occurred. Again, this is brand new, only 11 days old. Used 4 times. Thanks for your responses and help! J-
It apears as though we may have the same issue. Try depressing the "input" and "menu" buttons simultaneously for up to 15 seconds and the light will flash a code in sequences of 3-3 or 1-2 (this means all is well) etc. J-
So... it appears the code was in correct. I arrived home moments ago and checked the code myself and it is indeed a 12. To my knowledge, this would mean the TV doesn't recognize a problem? Still the rapid flashing green/timer issue after resets, unplug/replug etc.
Larry Dillon said: What is the model number of your TV set? Also I need an e-mail address to send it. Good Luck
hello larry dillon your addvice seems to be inparitive. i need your help, i have a mitsibishi ws-65713 and the green light will not stop flashing. i have tryed to resit aswell as unplug for ampel time. If there is a sit by step way to fix this problem please help!!! OR even a manual. thankS
Hey Larry so I had a error code 34 at first than error code 37. I ordered the caps from mouser replaced them to fix the 34 error. Error 37 means the fans on the dmd or lamp.I still have not touched these. So I put the tv together and crank it up and now it gives me error code 12 which means no error detected. HMMMMMMMMMM I am stumpped what should I try? I push power and the red status light turns on. I than push reset and same thing?
dono, to where? Rolexguy, you might have left out a plug somewhere? Does the light blink at all now, the green light shoud blink for about 1 minute, then go out if you fixed the DM problem.
Rolexguy, i really am not sure on this one. You might have left out a connector or plug, as I have seen this a dozen times on this set. donO, I will send out the info to you in just a little while. Good Luck with the repair.
could you please send me the direstions. I have a Wd-62525. I had a service rep here today and he replaced 4 CAPS on the Board all the way on the Left ( looking at the back of the TV. It worked for a bit (less then an hour) the service tech said that the DM board would have to be replaced at the tune of over 350.00. He told me to give Mits a call to see what they said about possibly paying for part of the board. I just dont want to dump 350+ on this unit if thats not going to be the problem.
I had the same exact problem with my WD-62525 that George S did- complete loss of picture with the red blinking light in the 3-1 pattern. After reading several of the responses, I was able to 'reset' the tv. That was about a week ago. Now, every day or so, the Timer light starts blinking (green)after shutting the picture off, and it is a continous blink, and after a minute or so the tv shuts off. When I power it back on, there is a message asking whether or not the lamp has been replaced. Now, that message has been occuring for 6 months or more, at what appeared to be random times. So, from what I gather, it may be a bad board. Or, could it be an overheating issue of some sort?
The bulb was replaced on this TV about 8 months ago, and ever since the bulb was replaced, there have been 'spots' in the picture- most noticeable in the white areas. I think the spots are bigger (and there are more of them) now then when the bulb was first replaced. I am wondering if this has anything to do with the powering off issue, or is completely unrelated.
Any advice would be appreciated. (My husband is really upset that we spent $4000 on this set 4 years ago, spent $200 on a lamp within the last year, and the potential that the DM board is bad (meaning lots of repair $$$)is a real good possibilty per the responses to the original question.)
hmmm I'm certainly not a techie, but the first thing I thought of when I read the lamp message was that is what we normally get when the set looses power... so my guess (and it's a full guess) is something with the power supply or power board. (I guess this as I could never be my set reset and back on, but we determined that our power board was bad and not the DM board.) In fact, another person on this board bought the DM board from us and it worked fine for him. So, I don't know if you all are techies or not, but if you plan on tearing your set apart to get down to the boards, do a good check on the power board to make sure you have the correct voltages and what not.
Good luck!
(we took our repair money and bought a 47 inch lcd with a 5 year warranty..... I just couldn't bear throwing the money at this set, just for the possibility that something else might go wrong with it, or it might not work)
Hi. I am the one who bought Nydialeafs DM board, many thanks. I had the dreaded endless blink. I had replaced the caps on the DM board, and for good measure also on the terminal, format and tuner boards. Didn't do a thing for it, and I was looking at a new DM board, which was also out of stock at the time.
The cap job works great on the WS series tube sets, but doesn't work on the WD series DLP sets. Least that has been my experience.
On the WD series with endless blink, change the DM board, that will fix it. It surely saved mine. Again many thanks Nydialeaf.
George S- did you ever get your set working? Just curious if it turned out to be the DM board or something else. I think my problem was most similar to yours, and was wondering how things ended up.
If someone could email me the pictures/manual/instructions to [email protected], I would appreciate it. Since my set is 4 years old, and I didn't purchase the extended warranty, I will probably make an attempt to fix myself, and if that fails, buy something that ISN'T a Mistubishi.....
Hi, I have a wd52725 about 3 yrs old. Its problem is that it starts but after a few minutes the green light blinks, a test pattern of colored lines shows on screen then the set shuts off. It can be restarted but continues to shut off after a few minutes. Every now and then it stays on forever but not usually. After reading here I checked the error code and it appears to be 12. I talked to a service center and have an appt. for them to come out but he thinks it might be the formatter board and est. $900. Any suggestions? thank you
Can I also get a copy of the service manual please at [email protected]? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Could be a bad bulb man. Try returning it for a new one. If the new one does the same thing, the ballast is most likely at fault. Good luck.
Hmmm I'm not sure either. I have the bulb from my TV that I could sell to you cheap if you want to try a different bulb.

The service folks are due to come out Thursday.
Is there a fuse perhaps that may be the issue here?
Thanks Again,

J-, Good Luck, and please let us know what they find wroing with your TV set.
Larry,
Would you happen to know what the 3-3(rapidly blinking green light within the timer lens) etc code represents in terms of issue with the television?
If the set is a Mitsubishi TV, that 3-3 code means that the air filter cover is open or a defective switch for the air filter cover.
I know what it is. Has anybody been messing around with the filter recently? Have you tried to unplug the TV set for several minutes or do A reset on the TV set?
I have a Mitsubishi WD-62725 that will not come on with a constant flashing green timer light. Does anyone have a fix for this?

Aaron, I will be sending you out the repair documents as well as the service manual a little later this evening. Good luck with this repair.

greenlight flashes when I plug it in , than shuts off, than I push power it clicks and straight to red status blinking light.
Larry, send the repair info to [email protected].
Thank you,

I have a Mitusbishi WD-62525
The timer light flashes rapid, no code.
If i push the reset button for 1 minute then push the Menu-Device Buttons for 1 minute
It will flash once then i'm able to turn it on.
I can play it all day with no problem, If i turn it off and leave it off all night.
It will either play or flash with not code.
Other times it will play okay and turn off okay.
If i shut it down, wait for it to cool, Then unplug it, It will always - flash without a code.
I have replaced all the 1000mf caps on the 3 boards.
Doesnt anyone know what else i can do or what the problem is?
Everyone here talks about the dm board.

Larry, hope you are still watching this thread.
I have the dreaded flashing green light on my WD-62625 and will not go away after multiple resets and removing power all night.
Would be great to get my hands on the service manual and repair instructions for the caps as well as the procedure/codes to get into the Service Menu.
My SW ver is V26 004.05.... is this old and should I get an update from Mitz?
Looks like you have been a great help to many.....thanks

Thanks again !
