Television and Home Theater

 Greetings,

 I purchased a GE "kitchen" tv with built in VHS tape player back in 1994 (MODEL #13TVR40 - SERIAL #41742059).  It plays great and the picture is excellent.  Just recently, I could not get it to turn on.  I thought of tossing it out because of the fact that it is 13 years old.  However, after having it unplugged for a period and trying one last time, i discovered it does in fact turn back on and plays great!

Can somebody help me with this puzzler?  I bought a "new" TV this morning.  Brought it home, plugged it in, connected the cable, and was pleased to find that it actually works.  However, I am not able to get all of the channels.  It seems as though there should be a button I can click and get the channels above 13.  Any thoughts?

I have a Sony KP57WV700. The problem I have just started. On the left hand side there is a blue shadow. I try the Auto Convergence but this did not help. I also try the manual Convergence but it does not let me move the blue cross far enough to merge with the white Cross. I’m thinking it’s the Convergence amp IC. Have has anyone ever seen this problem and know how to fix?
