just got this set in power turns on rushing sound snow on screen for 5 seconds .
no menu display or channel numbers come on screen, connected cable up .turned set on no video or sound just snow then off tryed turning up master screen set shuts down but still have a white smooth raster but sound goes off. i checked the power supply caps with esr meter. all were ok.
i know the audio or vertical circuts are working, but no tuner or on screen display.
couldn't find any schematics for this model. maybe someone has a idea to try here.
This sounds like a power supply or possibly in the sweep supply. It just sounds like something is missing, like one of the required voltages. You can download this service manual from HERE
