My question is, I have a Mitsubishi 55" ws-55311. Man: Dec 2002

Never had any problems with it till the other day. While watching tv, the picture itself started blinking on an off, and the remotes did not work right from time to time. I rolled tv away from the wall, took back cover off and vacuumed as much dust as I could. Put back together, rolled set back and it worked great till the next morning, back to blinking picture.

I changed the capacitors after I figured out I was looking at the wrong ones and it did nothing to change the status of my TV. Larry, I've heard somethingof convergence IC's, could you explain a little more about these. My problem is the green light blinks for  several seconds then the lamp light comes on and I get a code 34. The issue started not long after I installed an EBay bulb and it would eventually come on but now it never does. The bulb has been in about a year, do you think this may be bulb related? It was suggested to ask you for advise on this.

Was watching the tv this morning and it just shut off.Unplugged it and it came back on and worked all day and this evening just shut off again.This time unplugging it doesn't work there is no sound or picture,just the slow flashing red light.I had searched some threads and resoldered the large capacitors on the power supply.I also checked all the fuses i could find and they all checked out fine.Does it sound like the convergence ic's could cause this.Was going to order them from tvrepairkits but wanted some info first.
