The XBOX 360 Launch Plan - Has Microsoft Gone Crazy?

Is it only me, or am I one of many that's more annoyed with the XBOX 360 than I am excited about it? Microsoft's most recent announcements have struck my nerves in a way that has made me think twice about picking up a new 360 at launch on November 22nd.

Use a Game Genie to Get Your NES Games Working

Any classic gamer knows that playing old school NES games on the original NES hardware always starts with a fight to get the game running. The classic hardware is a front-loading (zero-insertion force) design where you slide the cartridge in from the front, and press down to lock it into place. Unfortunately, this design causes frequent problems when trying to start your game. More often than not, you'll get the blinking power light, or a garbled version of the game.

I'm hooked...Knights of the old Repulic - Sith Lords

It has been a while since I got into a video game that I really liked. My son rented the most recent Star Wars Game, and he has been fighting to get it back from me ever since. He woke up this morning around 10 am, and wandered down stairs to find that I was already playing it.

I find as I get older (sigh) I like first person shooters less and less and role playing games more and more.

My all time favorite game is still Sonic the Hedgehog (though Tetris gives it a run for its money.)

The newest star wars game is great. You can move good or evil depending on your responses and actions. They have pretty good dialog choices. I also like the options to take a break and play a "game" in the game. I can play cards or drive race cars. (I have always liked driving games.)

Can't Get Image from XBOX

A TechLore "Ask the Experts" Question...

halo 2 head to head over the lan

I personaly like to throw halo2 partys and hook up multiple systems.

To do this, the supplies you need are 2 Xboxes(obviously), a Net Gear (or other network device, or a crossover cable) and 2 Cat5 cables to hook up the xboxs to the Net Gear.

When playing Halo2 on two systems its best to have the tvs in different rooms so you and your freinds can't see each others screen (which starts alot of fights when playing.)

Xbox complaint

A little thing really.... The DVD player remote should be optional. We lose remotes all the time. (only to find them later, under the sofa, in the cushions, in the fridge)

The sony playstation will let you play DVD's using the controlers.... Microsoft would never let you do something that simple or FREE.

Sigh.
