Larry, Thanks for the info

Larry, Thanks for the info about PTS Electronics. I am shipping off my TV chassi for repairs. They will fix what ever is wrong with it for a flat fee of 295.00 plus shipping. Once in shop about 5 to 7 days for it to be shipped back. This sounds good to me. Thanks a lot for your help. I will let you know how this turns out. Have a good day.  Skip   [email protected]

Larry Dillon said: Your problem, very well could be the power supply, but in 65 to 70% of these blinking light cases, it is a 1200 dollar repair needed to get your set working again. I will of course, if your able to follow directions, to send you the documents i have to repair whats called the DM board. You seem like a bright enough person, as most do not realize, or tell me where to send the info, so i have to ask where they would like it sent to. Good Luck with this repair.

Guess what Larry, I have the same problem. I repaired copiers in a a previous life (which included some soldiering in new chips) so with your instructions/schematics I should be able to fix it. Can you please email me the DM board repair instructions?

Thanks so much!!

Hey Larry,

The model of my TV is WS-55513 not WS-55813. Please advise. Will this make a difference in the replacement parts??

Larry, I got my ws-55613

Larry, I got my ws-55613 chassis back from PTS as un-repairable, It would cost more to repair than the TV is worth. They said this is a terribly designed TV because when something goes bad it usually snowballs through all the electronics. If you have any suggestions please let me know. I am at my wits end. Thanks Larry, Skip, [email protected]

Same issue with GLOD...

Same issue with GLOD... After trying the voodoo ritual of working the front panel buttons (still wonder about that forum), I popped the TV's cherry and removed the back panel. How I removed the DM board without breaking anything is a sign that I can really do this.

Ordering my caps online from Mouser, but sure would love the service docs and repair manual.

WS-65813

Much obliged!
