1) it was not at all necessary for me to remove the lag bolts, they don't affect the sliding of the board, this is the only part of the instructions I would disagree with, but maybe its different on other models
2) its tough to manuever the bigger capacitors in the smaller space, I think we may have gotten lucky with capacitors that had the positive and negative at the ends of the capacitors (like a battery) so that you could mount the capacitors parallel to the board
3) Even with that said, its easy to bump the capacitors loose
4) double check the connection of the DM module when you put it back together, easy to be a bit loose
5) have everything but the cardboard back cover to the TV on before you test the TV, a lot of those pieces are important grounding mechanisms

Hi Larry , I SEE you are still at it, helping people get back up and running . my set still running about a year later . Keep it up . Thanks for your time . dj229
I have a WS-55907 with the same problem - the menu-input diagnostoc code is "22" When I press the input and menu button together the power like blinks twice, pauses then two more then repeats. This is the Short Protection circuit according the the manual. Does your fix address this since it does seem related to the convergence circuit according to other thigs I have read and can you guide me in the right direction. I love this 6-7 year old set so if there is a fee or expense I do have paypal. My e-mail is [email protected]
Hello Larry,
Like many others with a Mitsubishi WS-55813, I have the green light flashing issue. I would really appreciate it if you would email me the fix.
Thank you in advance.
I hope Larry is ok, haven't seen a response from him for over a month. Will anyone else please send me Larry's fix and manual? I don't know what to do. (Model# WS55813)
Hey Larry,
Sorry, think you could send the repair info to me as well? Old topic but I know, but my friend has this symptom and I told him I'd help research. [email protected]
You have to be the most patient person I've seen. I have the green light problem also. Any chance of getting zapped while trying to remove these? Could you send me the fix also? [email protected]
Thanks
Larry, same issue here (continuous green blinking on WS-55813, after hurricane Ike). Would appreciate the fix documentation, if you're still checking this thread.
Larry,
I hope you are still checking this thread. I too have felt the sting of the green blinking light on the WS-55813. Please send me your fix [email protected]
Thank you
Larry, I am another in what must be a long line of Mitsubishi WS-55813 owners with the green blinking lite problem. The set was working last night; today only an endless blinking light. Unplugged from the wall, reconnected, didnt help. If you have a repair solution, I'd love to see it. You can send it to [email protected]
Thanks
Debbie
I found your advice here and did the job myself and finally rid my TV of the green light issue. My problem was that the green light would flash everytime I would turn the TV on, then after about 5 minutes the TV would come on and work normally. Of course this would drive us all nuts ad nwe would have to sit and kill 5 minutes waiting for the tube to work. Now my problem after connecting everything back up is that my picture is bowed now (wasn't before). The red and yellow lines seem to be just fine, but the blue convergence seems to be wayyyyy messed up. Did I not put something back correctly? Thanks!!
the problem with the set not coming on right away sounds like you have the set st to power savr mode in the main menu, the wavy convergence ic could be that the convergenc IC is going bad.
"the problem with the set not coming on right away sounds like you have the set st to power savr mode in the main menu, the wavy convergence ic could be that the convergenc IC is going bad."
Ok.....never mind, I realized a blue/blue/brown wire had come disconnected from the back of the blue lamp. Gave the results of a bad convergence, but that was not the case. Either way, TV is up and running great again. Thank you Larry!
Larry, I have a WS-55613 that has the green light of death. Constant blinking light with no response. Can you please forward me your fix. Thank you in advance for your time spent on this you are truly doing a great deed.
Just another request if anyone has the info on the 55613 blinking light problem. I posted a while back but never received any info - I did find the pdf on the 4 capacitors - is that the procedure??
I have the Mitsubishi WS-48613 and I have the exact same problem. The power went off in my house and I went to turn my tv on and the only thing that goes on is the green blinking light. If you have the directions to fix this please send to me at [email protected]. I don't want to miss another weekend of football. Thank you so much!!!
Larry, Having read all 13 pages of the Mitsubishi WS-55813 Green Light blinking... thread, I nominate you for a public service award and will send a contribution in your name to the charity of your choice. I challenge previous and future beneficiaries of your work to do the same.

Thanks again
I read that you have helped many. I do have the blinking timer light as well after our power went out. When all came back up we had the blinking light no matter that all was hooked up to an ups. Could you also give me the instructions.

All,
Just solved the "Blinking Green Light of Death" problem on my WS - 55813 with the instructions obtained fro the link below:
http://www.chrisandnat.com/temp/BlinkingTV.pdf
Couple of notes from the experience:
Good luck
