yes, it is a US model, about 14 months old. same blinking green light as the others. owner says caps are bulging and oozing out a white paste. its a long drive for me to get there to work on it and was hoping to get everything i need before driving there. he is afraid to remove the board himself because of the small push-in ribbon cables on the sides of the board. any help is greatly appreciated. tnx, ron
That is not white paste oozzing out. I get this a lot. That is white rubber silicon the factory used to hold the capacitors in place and for shipping purposes. you will notice that on a lot of the capacitors in the TV set.
I have the same problem as many other with my Mitsubishi WS-65513. The green light has been blinking for the past 2 weeks and I still cant get my tv to turn on. Can you please send me the repair documents to [email protected]
Larry, I'm afraid I'm another one. I could use your help here. I've got the blinking green light of death on my Mitsu WS-65611 HDTV Projection TV after 5 years. No power or picture after the light goes out.
Could you send your fix-it instructions to me at [email protected]. I've already purchased the service manual, since I was planning to clean the mirror, CRTs, etc. anyway. Guess now was a good time for it to blow.
I ordered the daughter board from Sears, but it is backordered and I figured I would give this a go.
If the green light goes out, you do not have a DM problem. You should first look in the main power supply for fuses F9A04 and F9A05 I think. They control, the plus and minus 24 volts. If one of them are blown and show no continuity, DO NOT REPLACE it without first replacing the convergence IC's. Fuses do not blow in this set for no good reason. Replace the convergence IC's first. Also check for swollen capacitors in the main power supply. Good Luck

I am sorry man but I am busy doing this and when a yo yo cross post a model number, i have to stop ans send out a single e-mail. Please repost under the right model number.
