Speed said: Larry, I now have the Mitsubishi WS-65813 television up and running. The "blinking green light" issue has been resolved. Lesson Learned: For your information and others, after replacing the 4 capacitors on the DM Module, I slid the DM circuit board back into the metal DM case and then inserted the entire unit into the main circuit board. This was working in the "blind" as it was impossible to verify a proper seat of the DM circuit board onto the mother board.  The blinking green light was still present upon power-up of the TV. I again removed the DM module from the TV and this time I re-installed the DM circuit board onto the main mother board and THEN installed the DM metal case over the top of the circuit board. By doing this, I was able to ensure a proper connection of the DM board. Upon power-up the TV is UP and RUNNING. Thank you for your assistance. Speed

Speed,

I could use some help with my TV, it appears I have the same issue you were dealing with.  Anything you can do to help would be great.

Monty thanks for the feedback

Monty thanks for the feedback but if you have read any of the past threads, I have told people a thousand times to double and triple check the connections on the main board where the DM mounts. I cannot count how many folks have though their TV set was not repaired after they replaced the DM board and found out a little after that they seated the DM into the main board incorrectly. I appreciate the feedback man, but really nothing new. Congrats on your repair though.

Hispeed,

I too ran into this problem just yesterday morning.  I am really dissapointed as this unit is just under 4 years old.

If you would not mind passing along the service manual as you receive it that would be great.

Larry, I also have a WS65815

Larry, I also have a WS65815 with a green blinking light. Could you send me the instructions to replace these capacitors? This is my 3rd 65" Mitsu. The first one I had went bad and I took it to the authorized service center and 2 months later Mitsu replaced the set. One of the guns was leaking on to the circuit board. I bought this one cheap and then this happened. I would like to try and fix it myself. Thanks for your help.

Hi Larry,

Hi Larry,

I have recieved the manual & instructions for my TV from you, thank you. I have a Mitsubishi WD-62825. Ok where do I start...I have replaced 4 caps (3 were bad) in the power supply board, replaced 4 caps (1 was bad) in the DM board, replaced 4 caps (3 were bad) in the FMT board. All caps were replaced with 25v 105c. I'm going to check fuses in the power supply board. Any suggestions on what to check next? I still have the continuous blinking light.

Thanks,

Bill

If the light does not go out

If the light does not go out you still have an issue with the DM board. Did you check the small white surface mounted fuses inside of the DM board yet? I do not remember if this model, the DM board, plugs into a board at the bottom where the DM is mounted. If it does, double check that the DM is plugged into the mother board all the way. Also in the power supply, there are two small fuses marked F9A02 and F9A03. Check those and replace them if they are open.

HI Larry,

You are doing a GREAT community service here!  I have a WS-55615 with the infamous "BLINKING GREEN LIGHT OF DEATH" and my set is only three years old.  I do not have a manual but I changed the four 1000uF 15vdc capacitors and the set does not power up and still has the blinking green light.  I checked the capacators that were removed with a FLuke 79 on the capacitor check function and thay all are between 989uF and 1078 uf.  This leads me to believe the capacitors were good and this was just a part replacement excercise. I also checked all fuses on the power supply board and they are all good.  The SMD fuse on the back of the DM board also checked good.

I am at a loss on where to go from here.  Your expert assistance would be greatly appreciated.  I keep being told that my DM module is defective and contacting Mitsubishi has been fruitless.  They won't releases a DM module when ordered from service unless the set is in an authorized service shop and the tech calls Mits tech support and performs troubleshooting while on the phone with the Mits tech.

Thank you!
