I have a Sanyo DVD recorder   DRW-500    It will play movies but will not read  blank dvds. It just says  No Disc.  I would appreciate any help.

RECENTLY UPGRADED MY DIGITAL BOX AS I COULD NOT ACCESS CHANNEL 31 / FILM4, HOWEVER, I STILL CAN NOT GET THIS CHANNEL. WAS ADVISED THAT I MIGHT NEED TO INSTALL A WIDE BAND ARIEL, GOT A QUOTE FOR ARIEL INSTALLATION TODAY £200+VAT THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE THE CABLE CONNECTION TO 5 ROOMS IN A TENEMENT FLAT WHICH WILL BE QUITE A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF CABLE.   DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE eg; ARIEL THAT OPERATES INSIDE MY FLAT OR ANT OTHER WAY TO ACCESS FILM 4 AS THIS IS THE ONLY CHANNEL I  AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH. MANY THANKS.

Dvd-R To Dvd+R

  Ihave used a sony vcr\ dvd recorder to put vhs family videos xmas easter etc.  the problem is it copys to -r my hp xp pc only reads and writes + rs i want to make xtra copys for family  i purcashed a external Hp 80E multi format writer reads writes all can i change my -rs to the+rs    and how thank you Pat

I have a CyberHome DVD Recorder. Does anyone know what the readout "LORd" means. There is nothing in the instruction book on readouts and their meanings.

HDTV and HDMI..Dish DVR problems

I recently upgraded my Dish satellite from an 811 HDTV receiver to a 622 HDTV DVR. During the setup the tech pressed the select button for the incorrect resolution of 480P. My Tv is A Sony Grand Wega 55KDF-XS955. The receiver was connected to the tv through an HDMI cable. The tv's pixels blacked out and now the tv display is pure white and I cannot get access to the other inputs or menus. What could have caused this bizarre behavior? I have tried to reset the tv but with no luck. Thanks, Bhome.

Digital set top box

Does anyone else have problem with digital set top box as described below?

The picture intermittently has a "blocking effect" (similar to that used by the police when hiding someone's identity in photographs), sometimes the whole screen went blank for a couple of seconds.

 I have tried different TVs, and even buying a new Digibox, but with the same result.

 Any suggestions as to remedy this?
