Video Playback / Recording Devices

I have a Toshiba Portable DVD player that will no longer hold battery life. I have only had it for about 4 months and it has always worked. Now the only time that I can use it is when it is plugged in. What can I do to fix it?? Any help would be greatly appreciated! thank you!

I have had this Pioneer dvr231 recorder model for a little over a year. For some unknown reason it will not fully initialize a new -rw disk the same type I have been using all this time. Everything else works fine!

Any ideas as to why this is happening?

I have a Koss Dvd Player model KS4110 and it is not showing a picture when I attempt to play a movie, however, it will play the sund from the movie.  I have trie this on three different TV's with the same results.  Please help, this was a gift from someone who has passed away and it has a high sentimental value.
