Television and Home Theater

I have a 32 inch ilo lcd tv that works fine for the first 10 minutes that it is on then parts of the screen get green and fuzzy. Can this be fixed or should I just get a new tv.

My wife was watching TV and she said she heard a loud crack and then the tv went blank. There was a strong electrical smoke smell in the air. I assume its the high voltage transformer. I let it sit for 24hrs before I plugged it in again. When I plug it in now I can hear a ticking sound like a clock or a cartoon time bomb. Also there is a low repeating, "womp, womp" sound. Sorry to use such technical terms.

my ed tv is giving me sound but a scrambled picture and i cant get in to unscmble - anyone have suggestion
