Earthwalk Televisions

I have been working on Electronics (Game Systems, PC's, DVD Players VCRs, Etc.) for the past 8 years. I have recently started on Televisions & PC Moniters.

I recently purchased 2 Televisions from my local school system. Each of them have similar problems, indicated below along with the model # for each TV. Any  Information (including repair info.) on these TV's would be greatly appreciated.

Panasonic TX28 DK2 Sond problems

I moved my TV to a flat recently and tried to set it up, all goes well until I try to connect the rear side speakers, when I connect either speaker all the sound dies. On disconnecting there is a short pause then the sound returns. I have tried all sorts of configurations of sound setups, and alternative similar speakers with the same results.

Is this a problem inside the TV, or am I missing something obvious?  Any advice much appreciated.

Mitsubishi Televsion horizontal lines when cold

I have a 60 inch Mitsubishi rear projection TV that has horizontal lines while warming up.  It takes about 15 minutes for the lines to go away and then the picture is great.  Model VS-60705 built in 2000.

I live in a rural area where there are no television repairmen.  Does anyone know how to fix this problem &/or know where to get a schematic of the boards?

 thanks,
