Television and Home Theater

I work for Habitat for Humanity and we get many TV's donated to us to give to our needy famililes. Problem is some of the  new ones don't work. I wave one in particular I would love to deliver to a family this Christmas, but there are a few problems. It is a 2002 Hitachi 43FWX20B rear projection tv. It has horizontal lines in the top 3 inches of the screen and about 3 inches on the bottom. Otherwise it is in great condition. The man who brough it to us said it worked fine. When he plugged it in for us, he was shocked to notice the lines.

hi i want to use my tv as a moniter 4 the pc how do i connect or what gadgets do i need to do this its a home cinama amp please help!!!!!

My toddler was playing with the dvd&tv and possibly the remote controls and now I cannot view dvds.  The dvd will play correctly in the player but the picture is not appearing on the screen.  I have been flickering through the channels and can hear the sound from the dvd on the SVHS & AV2 channels but can't seem to figure out which channel shows the picture.  Does it make a difference if the channell is on MONO or AV?  Thank you.
