Television and Home Theater

 i have a 10yr old toshiba 32" pip tv which when first turned on the picture is red in color. after about 10 min  the picture goes to normal. i've tried altering the color with the menu when it is in the red mode but i get no response. any suggestions. other than this problem everything else works fine.

was wondering if anyone could help me my when i switch my t.v on nothing comes on my screen and it starts making a whistling noise very high piched coming from the back of the t.v can someone tell me what this is and is it fixable

I Just bought Bravia KDLS2010 and DAVDX375 A/V Receiver. Tried to hook it to a cable box, but no sound came out of the home entertainment speaker sets. The TV was set at "speaker off" and "variable". Both systems work fine by itself, but when connected to the cable, the sound was lost. help!..
